A Steempunknet Armor Portrait: How to prevent Ouch!

This is a description of the armors that are currently implemented in Steempunknet. None of them have descriptive texts at the moment.

These are my proposal for armor item texts.

Leather Stripes

Those stripes are only (and that not much) protecting the most vital points of the body. This is mostly due to the fact that the tanned rats are hard to sew together, so people do not bother with it.
Huh? Of course rats. What did you think? There are no cows down in the Darkzone and nobody else then those living there would see a few stripes of leather as armor. Not because they think it is sufficient, but because even the rats are rare game down there.

Metal Parts Armor

For those in the Darkzone to be able to upgrade their armor stripes to something made out of metal is a sort of badge – and often a question of survival. A nice piece of scrap metal may not stop a gun bullet, but it can certainly prevent an unwanted air hole if someone with spikes on the boots gets too close to you.
As with the leather stripes this armor does not offer full-body protection but is better then none.

Leather Armor

Leather armor comes in many different forms. This one is a well made model, often used by people who rely more on speed as protection, but don’t want to be killed by the first hit with an iron bar.
A good leather armor has an astounding protection value against blunt hits, slashing, and shock weapons, but is nearly useless against a gun bullet.
This model was designed by a former hired murderer who had a metal allergy, as such the leather armor has no added protective layers.

Nano Fiber Vest

Nano fibers are said to be the most durable but still light material. There is no doubt that the vests made out of this material are the best of the best when it comes to light armor. They can even stop a big bullet – but unfortunately can not prevent you from being knocked into the next wall by the sheer force of that bullet.
Additionally the vests can be made to look really cool, a not to be underestimated factor for private security forces and the rare aristocratic adventurer. Other vests look like they were made by a drunken designer with a big headache.
Rumors say that a container of those vests was stolen just a few weeks ago and if you know the right people you can get a nano fibre vest in some select shops on Ground Zero. For a hefty price, of course.
