c0ff33 vlog 18th May 2018 Looking for my Muse ☕️

Finally I am getting back on track after missing last weeks Vlog post, although this week has been a challenge on Steemit where somehow my inspiration for working through 100's of posts just has not been there. Sometimes in life though you do need to step back, give yourself some breathing space and take stock of your surroundings.

The Irony is that I overcame this apparent Steemit burnout by....reading more posts on Steemit! Yes, the logic in that defies me as well, but in reality when you look very hard and deep into this platform you can find some incredible people working really hard to create what is amazing content. And so often the struggle for post rewards has nothing to do with content, so many incredible posts I see getting very little - it's getting the posts seen by people who would enjoy them and reward with an upvote.

And my biggest struggle is of course time, for every post I visit there are 10 others I would like to but just never get chance to. In fact this post has already taken a few hours for these few words - because I have been visiting posts while working on this, and once I visit one it reminds me of someone else or I see someone in a comment and that then leads to someone else - before long I have read and upvoted 12 or more posts! But I only have so much time spare, and all that reading and commenting is eating most of it up.

So the challenge is big, and all I can do is try to visit and share as many as I can. And talking of big challenges it leads me nicely onto @crisangel who has invested so much of his own time to help support The restoration of an infant school roof and through the posts he created managed to support the project with 16 SBD. In his post we learn he had to travel on a coach for 20 hours to visit the school, but shares many wonderful pictures of his time there and also the work done. @crisangel deserves a great deal of respect for the hard work he has put into this project.

@shadowspub handed the SteemitRamble discord over to The Witness's of Steemit on Saturday and it was a thoroughly interesting discussion about what the Witness's do, what more is being done for this platform and the future path for Steem. And it is of course important we all Take the time to vote for Witness's and you can learn a great deal more about it in that post by @katrina-ariel

Long time followers of my blog will know I have always been using the Bid Bot's since they first appeared, there is much contention on both sides about using them. @dreemsteem raises many interesting points in this Post about a wide variety of bots and it covers some very interesting solutions - like @dustsweeper which might sound cryptic but it actually solves the problem of comments with 0.02 or less SBD vote not paying out.

If anyone is stuck for a contest to enter, then @robertandrew has come up with one that will suit many. Where's your happy place is a super simple contest to share your #HappyPlace either in his post comments or create your own post with the tag and leave it in the comments.

And a favourite contest of mine is Kolegas Tag - this week blue by @txatxy I don't always manage to get my entries in on time, but it's creative and different and get's some wonderful entries.

Another fun contest is Simgirl and Snooks Bad Karaoke you can read more about it there, the rounds seem to run every two weeks so you always have plenty of time to get your entries in.

I'm sure like me you have all been wondering where @fishyculture is, well it seems she has been on a Road trip and stop off in Bourbon Street with @longsilver and that's why there as been a post drought between them. Good look with the rest of the journey and safe travels back home.

I had to grin when I saw this Portrait of c0ff33a by @tygertyger the technique is very clever using multiple edits if the same photo then combining them all together. A super photo of me to use as well, thank you so much really appreciate the thought :-)

When I get stuck for posts to read there are a few places I go to hunt for more, but my favourite at the moment is @saffisara she always seems to find an resteem the posts I miss! #teamhug is always on patrol and she has a special gift for leaving the most wonderful comments. It's amazing really she still has time to tend for her expansive garden although somewhere in Sweden a street corner is missing a lamp post - and I can't figure out how she managed to carry it to her garden 🤔

And that concludes my very brief vlog for this week, as usual you can read through my blog @c0ff33a to catch up with all the posts I have been to, I resteem so many wonderful quality posts you can be sure to always find some content you will enjoy in there.

The greatest challenge we face on Steemit is getting our posts seen, I have always believed the simplest and best value way of doing this is by commenting on the blog posts of others, the more you engage people and interact with them the greater the chance they will visit your own blog and return to the favour.
