After the walk from Marina Bay Sands, #whysocurious me went home and check out what is this Artbox installation for. I came across the setup as mentioned in this post:

Introduction | 简介

Artbox seems to be a big bazaar or flea market concept from Thailand.It is happening this weekend and next weekend. There seems to be a twist. The origins has the stalls in containers but not in the case of this event in Singapore. Here are a couple of news I found:

So on Good Friday night, I went there to check it out. Turned out to be not a good experience. Not that there was nothing happening. There were food and beer and plenty of shops. No credit card payment but there is a cashless payment NETS probably because DBS is the sponsor. #walkwithme a bit as I go Artbox.

Last Saturday, after taiji practice, I intended to go to a specific outlet of McDonald's for lunch. This outlet is located outside small nice garden. I was going to a nursery which was next to it after lunch to get some plants for the in-laws. However, when I reached there, the plan changed.

Artbox

Parking was a problem. Long queue of cars into the nearest car park. I was smart enough to park at Marina Bay Financial Centre but I wasn’t the only.

停车是个问题。排队的汽车为了进入最近的停车场应该要排很久。我算聪明了，车开到对面滨海湾金融中心停但很多人也跟我一样。

Outside the event ground, it was already crowded.

I tried to squeeze in from here. Look at the crowd.

There was some kind of stage with a couple of containers in front.

That was a hotspot for selfie.

Turning to the right at the end, there is another container with a crowd. Beer is served.

There was a directory here which is evidence of how many stalls have been packed into this event.

Out of the box | 走出 Artbox

It was definitely too crowded for me. I decided to turn back and get out and try to get dinner at Marina Bay Financial Centre.

对我来说太拥挤了所以决定离开，到滨海湾金融中心吃晚餐。

At Marina Bay Financial Centre, no luck for dinner. The few restaurant there had many waiting. An example is Din Tai Fung which needed a wait for 40 minute.
