The Day Has Come
I have persevered throughout my time on the STEEM Blockchain and spent countless days and nights in pursuit of making my dreams a reality. Many of you have been there from the beginning and know that this has been a long and arduous journey filled with many hurdles and bumps.
Without our communities support @Hashkings would just be a dream. In the beginning I knew the community would be the backbone of this project and I still hold this as my core value. Running a witness is the next step in growing our community and fully realizing my dream of an open-source Blockchain driven project made for the community.

Who is the Hashkings Team?
Similar to the Hashkings app our witness is independently run by @qwoyn and some volunteers. We were fortunate to have Steven Ettinger on the team at the beginning but he has since gone to pursue other projects.
He has committed his life to everything computer related and has spent years learning as many things about the computer world as possible. In 2011 his life changed when he found Blockchain technology and by 2017 was writing smart contracts on the Ethereum Blockchain. Now he is continuing his journey writing applications on STEEM.
Cannabis cultivation is another one of Daniels many talents. With over 15 years of growing indoor and outdoor cannabis Hashkings only makes logical sense.

What being a Witness means to Hashkings
Becoming a witness comes with great responsibility and as a witness gains popularity that responsibility only increases. Hashkings knows that our responsibility is to the community and we are committed to giving our community a voice and working hard to support them.
I know first hand how hard it can be to gain a voice in a community as large as STEEM and it was the small communities that showed me the most love. I want to show my respect to the small cannabis communities and give them a larger voice.

Technical Specs
Running a witness takes a ton of computing power and most of the minimum requirements are barely enough to handle the computing power needed. We are currently trying out our current setup hosted by @privex and will upgrade as soon as needed.
Our current witness server:
4 core processor
16GB RAM
500GB SSD
100 mbps
We are also currently in talks to run a full RPC node. Details to come.
