I'll have my "One month" anniversary on Steemit in two days. Started on June 13th and see where that got me already. Okay, there are tons of people in front of me (6513 to be precise) but there are more behind me. But I'm on position 6514, right between @nikosgyftakis and @Rajiv
Do I want to become number one? I wish! But really, there is no chance for me to ever become number one on Steemwhales, or number 2, 3, 4 or 5. Maybe 11th but then I'd need some serious upvotes starting now. The first few hundred Steemwhale positions are filled with whales. It's a crowded place on top. I'm not even going into the top 10 as those are the positions filled with the owners @Dan and @Ned, Steemits account @Steemit some employees like @val-a and of course the different exchanges that hold large amounts of Steem.
No, I have a different goal for now. Something realistic and which should be within reach.
First I want to reach the top 2000. That should be within reach for me as I still try to find my way around here. But it would also help me in reaching my personal goal of getting into the top 1000. Those are actually two goals but in my opinion I can't reach one without the other.
Not about me
Reaching the top 1000 would be amazing for myself but that's not the only reason I want to reach it. Of course it will be great to chill on top. At least where the wild roses grow. But looking from my OCD perspective it would be great to have some really heavy steempower so that I can reward the authors we find with our OCD team. For now @acidyo is the whale and is the one doing the heavy lifting. Wouldn't it be great if he was not alone in his lifting?
That is also the reason why I set up my curation trail (Streemian - Services - Curation Trail - Find "Cem" on page 7 - Set max post age to 10080). The more Steemian follow the Trail the higher the reward will be for the authors we find during our @OCD work. And we are quite the busy team as we find about 15-20 posts daily that are undervalued.
And who knows, eventually we might be finding you and your undervalued post someday soon. Wouldn't you want that fat upvote once we come around?
So hop on the trail and start upvoting undervalued, underrated posts by amazing authors!
Now on to the next edition of
@dragonslayer109 He prooves that writing on a daily basis, even tho it's hard to do, is possible. He just attended a wedding and it was one of the better posts I have seen around here. He also has a series about his writing lessons which, unfortunately, will end soon. Doesn't matter. I believe he just started something new: Steemit Dating. Follow him or @singles for the latest updates or if you are single.
@birds90 A Chinese fellow who speaks English just as well. With a passion for photography. He posts pictures of nature, urban exploring and personal experiences. Some are stunning while other pictures are more to give you an insight in his daily life.
@someone Another Chinese fellow. One who speaks both English and Chinese. If I'm correct he translates English posts into Chinese so that his fellow Chinese can read the translated posts. It's of course a great service and something that renders well considering hs rewards. Maybe he'll translate one of yours too?
@daveks All about photography. Holds contests daily so you if you have some good quality pictures make sure to participate in his contest. You might even win a reward or two.
@hitheryon One of the great creative minds on Steemit. At this moment busy with setting up a "Steemitpark" right in the middle of Brooklyn. And from the looks of it its great. Not only are they actually setting up a park but Steemit users have become sponsors of parts of the park, like the benches and the planters. Great initiative!
@trevonjb Trevon James is one of those guys who's all in on crypto. And he shares his adventures live and on the go. Besides his adventures he regularly hosts live giveaways which are held via Youtube's livestream. You can join if you like, just for a chance to get a few steem in return. Of course Trevon has some seriously good tips too which might get you a long way if you follow them.
@jacor All about humanity. Is very dedicated to housing projects in Africa and as he is from South Africa, he might even know what it's all about. Worth every upvote you give him. He resteems quite alot but that doesn't mean he does not post things himself sometimes. Like the great technology which makes communicating with basically every language easy peasy. It sure does amaze him :P
@baharoba Curator for Turkish posts. Ilk defa Türk listeye secildi hem de ne güzel bir kisi secildi. Who To Follow'ya hosgeldin Bahar. Insallah Curatorlik zor gelmiyor? Memnun oldum ve insallah daha görüsürüz. Selamlar. Tüm Türkler icin: Günlük secimler artik kendi bloginda cikmiyor.
@skapaneas another creative mind on Steemit. If you like arts then you check him out. He has some great pictures and paintings available for you and you might even get a glimpse of the way he makes those. Further he is a curator of some sorts as he resteems quite alot. Not that it floods his feed but enough to get noticed. What are you waiting for? Go and follow him already :D
@awgbibb Interesting posting style. And if I am not mistaken another South African on the list. It occurs to me that they all have the same style of "being". I should know since my best friend was from South Africa. I can even understand a bit of "Afrikaans". Not that it helps me now but in recognizing South Africans it helps quite alot. Head over to see what he is all about.
@kenny-crane It's hard to write something about someone who you don't know. It's even harder if you have to write something about the way they blog without actually knowing the person. It becomes impossible to write something when all they do is resteem. But fortunately Kenny comments. Alot. And from the looks of he is the nicest person on Steemit. Some quotes:
That's sweet! I'm glad you have someone nice in your life. :-)
I like the poem very much and I know it is deeply personal to you and hard to share.
OCD yeah you know
I want to coclude today's WTF Daily with a special word for OCD. If you are on Steemit and believe you have good quality content but feel it's underrated feel free to contact me or any of the OCD teammembers. If you struggle with getting the right attention we might be able to help you out. If we find your post of high quality but you haven't gained any attention in the form of upvotes and rewards we will take your post into consideration. Internally we then will decide which posts will make it to the daily top 5.
We delibaretely search for Gems that are forgotten and we feel deserve extra attention.
Cheers y'all and Steem ON!
