STREET ART – more street art in Denmark

DSC_14.jpg

Aalborg has so much great street. I am still sorting out all photoes taken there. This is a city with great street art. The inner city is packed with murals. Mostly very large ones.

This mural you see above, is named Hippocamo painted by Alxis Diaz. Beautiful colorful mural depicts an animal-like creature in transformation. The artist is from Puerto Rico. He is fond of animals. What he does is, that he mixes the animals on the plains with animals from the sea. He replaces paws with tentacles and wings with fins.

When street Art really came to town, it has clearly changed this little gray industrial city into a vibrant and colorful inner city. Once it started as tagging and thus considered vandalism. Today it is an accepted art form that everyone can see.

The painting above is paintet by Cyrcle – an american duo. Their theme is life, expressedn through shape and color. Their work can be seen all over the world. This piece was done in 2015. Look at the face. The part with the mouth is painted on another building. To see the whole face, you have stay in that exact position to se the faces come together as one.

Still more coming from Aalborg...
