Today, @dragosroua asked the most unexpected and baffling question for the 30 day writing challenge I am posting to for May 2018:
Given That Steemit Is Open Source, Would You Start A Steemit Clone? If Yes, Why? If Not, Why?
Um….
Open source?
Clone?
This is a task for me?
Good Lord, what now?
Do other people do this and I just don't know about it?
I could not conceive of what this question meant.
At all.
All I could come up with is cloning sheep. (I can’t do that either except by photography.)
My answer is NO.
The reason why is that I do not know what you are talking about.
I read the challenge post and it turns out that the idea is to “copy” the “open source” of steemit and give it to the Russians if you read the comment of @steevc over on the post. They've already got a steemit clone over there! But it was "approved" so it's not about spying I guess.
I have absolutely no idea what this means or why anyone one would want do it. We can't get enough people to post here. We don't need two places. Please don't break up all the languages into different steemits. I love this place for being so international.
He - @dragosroua – says in his post that he would not do this either because:
- it is technically hard
- you need a gang
- it costs a lot of money
- somehow it is related to witnesses - (big red flag lol)
- he wants to have a life
I can safely say I am completely ruled out since I have no money, no friends for the gang, and I cannot figure out how to upload videos to dtube. Having a life and dealing with witnesses are completely off of my page.

I am a weight loss success story trying to get my message out and help fat people get thin and healthy like I did - naturally; without pills or surgery. Since coming to this nuthouse called steemit, I have had to learn a zillion new skills and terms. I hope that cloning will never be one of them.
