Ripple is the first to surpass the $100 billion other than Bitcoinand is now sitting at $132 billion at this time of writing.
Ripple has also replaced Ethereum (which is also nearing $100) at the 2nd place in the total market capitalization.

A Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) research analyst, Mitch Steves has recently laid out his bull case about the reason why future transactional services will eventually be decentralized.
He wrote in a report that digital assets has a lot of risks however the opportunity appears immense with constant technology updates.
He also added that the value will be most realized in cryptocurrency protocols, as application layers becomes more successful.
He concluded that one positive item that everyone can agree is that the blockchain has never been hacked, and why not build on top of this secure layer.
As the industry matures, there is a great possibility that it will reach multi-trillion dollar in capitalization.
