Dubai aims to be a Blockchain City by 2020
In partnership with the US Department of Commerce, CDC or the Chamber of Digital Commerce, together with other Blockchain companies will have 4-day visit in Dubai for a Blockchain trade mission.
This event comes as part of efforts to make the Dubai as the first Blockchain-powered city by 2020.
Companies such as Bloq, Netki and Cisco will be on board to the so called first certified trade mission focusing on Blockchain.
The US ambassador told UAE's Barbara A. Leaf that Major financial technology in the U.S goes to Dubai to share the latest Blockchain technology developments specifically to UAE banks, government agencies and investment firms to guarantee the integrity of financial transactions.
Over the past few years, Dubai has been aggressive in adopting Blockchain and IoT innovation at state infrastructure level, having a number of global partnerships towards the 2020 “Blockchain City” goal.
Avanza Bank, the Biggest Online Stockbroker Adds Bitcoin Services
With more than 600,000 customers, Avanza Bank is now offering its clients Bitcoin services.
These services include the ability of users to track the prices of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies using their user interface.
It would provide features that would enable customers to see a full picture of their portfolio which includes Bitcoin and Ethereum investments.
Avanza has seen more customers investing in cryptocurrencies, thus they see the need to offer such services.
Avanza Bank is an online brokerage service which participates in a large number of trades that take place on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
EXMO has Added Ripple to its Cryptocurrency Trading Platform
Together with other well-known cryptocurrencies, Ripple has been added to Exmo's list of trading instruments.
The exchange has successfully expanded their trading instrument adding XRP/BTC, XRP/USD and XRP/RUB trading pairs.
Adding XRP is part of the continuing support of Exmo to well-known cryptocurrencies such as Zcash which was just added recently in the platform.
This is another exciting development for Ripple where it just recently announced launching a new Ripple gateway on October 15, 2017.
