Hello dear Steemians!
Today is a wonderful day Sunday with Willow. It's Sunday before Easter. In the Orthodox Church it is customary to celebrate this day, bringing home a bouquet of pussy Willows. This holiday is also called the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem. In many countries, its symbol is the Palm branch. In my country - twigs willow.
Great Lent is still going on. Therefore, today for the holiday, I offer you a recipe for vegan buns with ginger and cane sugar. This is a delicious treat that you can safely eat in the post and have fun.
Palm Sunday is a celebration of humility, purity and prayer. On this day, there are many traditions and signs, which is not entirely related to religion. They are more related to nature, man and farming. It so happened in the peasant environment that any holiday still comes to nature and care for the future harvest. And on Palm Sunday, the farmers watched the weather and made a prognosis.
- If it rains heavily on this day, the harvest will be rich.
- If you plant a potted flower on palm Sunday, you will become rich.
- If you add in the bread fluffy buds of the willow and give this bread to the sick animals, they will be healed.
- If to knock branches of willow on a back of other person, it will be healthy all year. Necessary in this case to say :" Be strong as willow. Be as healthy as its roots. Be as rich as the soil."
To celebrate this day is usually served vegetable, but sweet foods. It can be a variety of cereals, stewed vegetables and pastries. I want to tell you about the ginger bread rolls I made today.
