It's after they've drank some wine, and he's helping himself to a few more of those energy kernels, that the abbot speaks up again.
"Of course, your soul still has a long way to go."
He looks up at the abbot while chewing on a kernel. The deer man's eyes are full and green, gazing deep into him.
"You have to be a warrior for your soul, Sebastian. There is so much more for you to do. And there will be times when you think you are going crazy, but remember-" The abbot reaches across the great wooden table and places a hand upon his own. "You will be soon riding a very big wave. And that wave will take you were you want to go."
The abbot calmly pulls back and regards him with a look between kindness and wonder.
"My name is Sebastian?" he asks, heart rising in his chest.
The Abbot blinks. "Uh, I dunno..."
The two men stare at each other. Finally the abbot shrugs.
"I just felt like calling you that for some reason."
