So Much To Be Thankful For! 😄Day Two...

"The grateful person knows that God is good, not by hearsay but by experience. And that is what makes all the difference."
- Thomas Merton -

Day Two:

"In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
- 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Why does it seem difficult to give thanks when things are not going well?

I have been struggling financially for almost a year now, barely making ends meet.

Even so, looking back on the past year, though times were tough, and though I had to "kick the can down the road" much further than I liked, paying bills at the very last instant, and doing without many things that we normally would take for granted, I can still say along with King David: "

"I have been young and now I am old,
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken
Or his descendants begging bread."

- Psalm 37:25

Part of God's provision for me came through Steemit, through my loyal readers, through being able to exchange some STEEM for fiat with three or four different people in various places on the globe.

And so, on Day Two of this 7-Day Positivity Challenge,

I am deeply grateful to my LORD Jesus, Creator-God of the universe, for hooking me up with a great new contract.

My task is to perform hardware design reviews for the instrument in the photo above, and to write software and firmware that connect the machine to its software user interface. I'm about a month into the project, and am loving every minute of the work.

I find myself able to apply the mad skillz that I've acquired over a lifetime of experience as an inventor, designer, and computer geek. At the same time, I am on a very steep learning curve, adding to my knowledge, skills, and abilities.

In other words,

not only am I having a blast, I am blessed with a good rate that is enabling me to get caught up in many areas and is taking the pressure off financially. Hallelujah!😄

Thank you, Jesus!

What more is there to say?

My nominees for this challenge, once again, are:

@creatr, @dreemsteem, @ablaze

The rules:

  • Write a post about something you have to be postive about today - this could be anything from being thankful for your current situation, someone being nice to you, being thankful for your friends and family, or even being thankful for the oppurtunity you have been given here on Steemit - just keep it positive :)
  • Do this for 7 days in a row if you get nominated
  • Mention three people who should do this on each day.
  • Tag it with #7daypositivitychallenge and include these rules at the bottom of your post
  • Include a picture of something positive (related to your story if possible.

P.S. If you have an "in" with anybody at Steemit, Inc. - Would you please ask them to get rid of these damn, extremely annoying "off-website" arrow/boxes? The have, overnight, made Steemit ugly. There are much better solutions.
