This guy has been called the greatest salesman in the world. In fact it says that under his picture on Wikipedia.

That's a pretty bold claim and a reputation that would be pretty hard to beat as a salesmen.

I think it's safe to say that if a person could carry such a title they must have done something right.

I have a lot of quotes from Og that are great so expect to see his name in future posts.

The one I chose for today is short simple and to the point.

“I will act now.”

I will act now.

A statement so powerful I had to write it again.

A lot of us have hopes and dreams that have not been acted on.

Maybe we have put them on the back burner for various different reasons.

Maybe we are "getting our ducks in a row".

Well, I can tell you this...

Ducks only get in a row when they are left to do it themselves.

If you jump in and try to usher them into a row they will scatter.

A great example of what I'm talking about here would be if say you were thinking of starting a business and you were waiting until you had all of your ducks in a row.

You tell yourself things like:

I need to have this much money.
I need to have this list of things.
I'm waiting until the market comes back up.
etc...

While it's vitally important to at least have something prepared before jumping into a new adventure, waiting until you have all of your ducks in a row is sheer folly.

First of all, by the time you have "everything ready" the landscape will have likely changed. Not to mention it is quite common for new business owners to purchase a bunch of things they think they need for their startup only to find out once they're up and running that much of it was unnecessary. These unnecessary items will create clutter and ultimately amount to nothing more than dead weight.

The money spent on these unnecessary items could have been put to better use if you had waited until after you actually needed something.

Any idea you wish to accomplish must be acted upon within 48 hours or it will begin it's spiraling decent into nothing more than wishful thinking. Some sort of action must be taken toward it or it will begin going no where.

The sooner you act on an idea, the better the outcome will ultimately be.

Now, I'm not saying to jump in blind here.

Be sure to do your homework. In fact that would usually be considered one of the first steps of acting now.

You don't have to see the whole path, in fact successful people rarely do.

I've heard it said so many times, "Go as far as you can see and when you get there, you will see further.".

Like driving a car, you have to trust that the road will continue to be there.

In life you have to trust that the path will continue to unfold as you continue to move forward.

Because it will.

If you jump in and start moving forward on an idea the ducks will start lining up. Because that's what they do when they are left to do it themselves.

The best time to start an idea is always now!

The truth is that you don't know how it will go. You won't know until you start doing it.

So why wait?

Why waste time, it's your most precious resource!

The clock is ticking.

GET OFF YOUR ASS AND GET IN THE GAME!!

Like most of what I write, I could go on forever about this topic.

I will leave you with this...

Time doesn't wait.

Dreams don't wait.

If you wait, you may have already lost.

So make the commitment to act when it feels right!

Tell yourself the same thing I'm sure Og repeated to himself hundreds of times:

“I will act now.”

Thanks for reading.
