The million dollar question has already come to mind hasn't it? What is Lucky up to now? Well ladies and gentlemen, I'm about to lay it on you and break it down bit by bit. As a good many of you know, I am very heavily involved in seeing positive trends and growth within the Steemit community, from my work with the Steemit Greeters Guild to my various sideline activities that are aimed at seeing others grow and succeed. Lately, I've been at a dead end, contemplating ways I can fund some of my charitable operations without going out and virtually panhandling on the Steemit platform. I thought to myself, what is something that I know can raise funding, all the while offering the opportunity for others to prosper on numerous levels? It dawned on me......a Steemit based lottery in which all proceeds are donated to charitable operations within the community that promote positive growth and help build many great authors from darkness to the spotlight. So the idea was born....
WHAT IS THE LUCKY LOTTO QUICK TRIPLE PICK?
The Lucky Lotto Quick Triple Pick is a daily lottery game hosted by yours truly, Lucky, or @terminallyill as I am known on Steemit. It is modeled from the United States Lottery game the Pick Three, in which an individual picks three numbers of their choice and that is counted as their entry into the lottery. The host of the lottery then randomly selects three numbers from 0-9 and any participant who picked the matching numbers wins a great prize, typically a substantial chunk of money compared to their investment into the game itself. In essence, this is the exact same thing I will be doing, of course in my own way and with a much deeper meaning, all explained below. So why did I choose to do this?
It's actually rather intriguing if you take the opportunity to really assess what I am doing here. I founded this game with the sole purpose of providing financial donations to several charitable organizations on the Steemit platform that promote positive growth within the community. The idea behind this is that every single person who plays this game is themselves not only entering this lottery for a chance to win a nice chunk of SBD, but they are also inadvertently donating to a charitable cause in the process. Not a single fraction of an SBD or Steem will be kept and used for anything other than seeing the community thrive on this platform, that is my word and on my honor. I myself am even coming out of pocket to foot the initial prize pools every single day until this game picks up in popularity and can become self sufficient. Enough of the tech specs though, let's get down to business.
For the staggering and back breaking cost of 0.05 SBD, you can purchase one single entry into a daily drawing. This is literally a nickle, so it is not an incredible investment, especially for the prize that you can win if you strike the lucky series of numbers. You can buy as many entries as you would like, so do not feel like you are limited to purchasing just one single entry. Basically, if you chose to play, you will need to send me a transfer from your Steemit wallet of 0.05 SBD and in the memo write your three digit entry (i/e 936). This will be your "ticket", forever recorded in the Steemit blockchain and easily able to be kept up with. If you choose to play more than one set of numbers, simply make another transfer with the numbers in the memo. This will avoid any confusion as well as leave no room for error on either party. Keep it clean and simple my friends. So what can you win?
The minimum prize pool for every daily drawing will be a minimal of 5 SBD, sponsored by yours truly. The idea here is to get the game into a full swing as to where it far surpasses this number, making the prize pool even larger for anyone who may find themselves lucky enough to claim the prize. Every entry adds up in the prize pool and a substantial portion carries over to the next round if no winning ticket claims the prize. In example, say today we have 100 entries, totaling 5 SBD but nobody picked the winning numbers. 50% of the paid entries, 2.5 SBD, will carry on to the following day making the prize pool for the next day 7.5 SBD (remember, I'm guaranteeing a min 5 SBD jackpot). The remaining 50% will be promptly donated to one of a handful of community initiatives and actions within the Steemit community. As of now I have not set a cap, or limit to how high the jackpot can climb, so let's see how this works out. The important and key thing here is that every single portion not allotted to the jackpot is going directly towards seeing a brighter future for this platform!
This lottery will be a daily event, seven days a week, 365 days a year. No holidays, no breaks, no gimmicks. Every single day at 9PM EST I will randomly select the winning numbers and post them as quickly as possible, as to not have folks anxiously waiting. This means that every single day you can enter to win, just as long as your entry gets to me by 8:59 PM Eastern Standard Time. If your entry comes in past the 9:00 PM mark, your entry will still be valid, just for the following day. As of now there will be just this one drawing per day, however, as this game grows in popularity I may amend the original rule set to include additional drawings. That is far down the road however. For now, just remember the numbers are drawn at 9:00 PM every single day and will be announced immediately after.
Not a single penny of this money is going to go towards anything other than supporting and building this community for the better, helping develop a brighter future for the lower ranks of the Steemit platform. Proceeds will be donated to initiatives and organizations across the platform that are actively helping build not only the community, but the lives of those they reach out to. Some organizations I will be supporting include but are not limited to the Steemit Greeters Guild, Newbie Resteem Day and Earth Nation. There are several other charitable groups that I have in mind as well as several events this game will help host and fund. With your support in growing this, we will see amazing things happen within the community.
SO HOW DO YOU WIN?
It is incredibly easy to follow along with this game. You pick three numbers from 0-9 in order. In example 456. The host then draws three numbers randomly as the winning numbers. If the host draws 456 as the winning numbers, you won the jackpot prize! If the FIRST TWO numbers of your ticket match the winning numbers, you win 0.5 SBD! That's right, you can win even when you don't hit the big jackpot! In the event that more than one person wins the jackpot, it will be divided proportionately among all winners.
