Paying It Forward, Happily

This is my second entry to this Curation Contest put on by @thedarkhorse and I must say that it brings me great joy to participate.

It is such a great feeling to see how grateful the featured Steemians are and to know that we are helping others and the community at large.

It is even made greater knowing that featured Steemians return and pay it forward to others.

In the circle of life
It's the wheel of fortune
It's the leap of faith
It's the band of hope
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the circle, the circle of life

This contest not only benefits newbies but also persons who have been on Steemit for a while but have not been getting the deserved visibility.

For newbies, a little push can go a long way in encouraging them to be the best that they can be. (Sidenote: when is the cut off point for calling yourself a newbie?) 😄

Thanks to @thedarkhorse for starting and continuing such a great venture. As one of the winners of Week 4, I humbly say thanks to each and everyone who makes this contest possible.

Whether you're on the frontline or behind the curtain, your efforts and time are greatly appreciated. Please keep up the great work.

Now to grace you with my featured Steemians:

1. @ydraz

I nominate @ydraz for her blog post:
Heeeelp!!! I don't know which is scarier: trying to enter the crypto world or the thought of missing the train. Eeek!

This post is her first post and proves to be a good start.

In this post, @ydraz introduced herself to the steemit platform. I was drawn to her because of the fear that she expressed - joining the crypto-world or missing the train. I believe that many of us, including myself, were also in the same boat when we first began. I got a bit of a push from this very contest.

Highlighting how she found steemit and mentioning @robpyne who was her window to steemit (she doesn't know him personally but found steemit through him) she hoped that he would be able to gain some visibility. This act to me is her way of already participating in the "Payitforward" contest; her way of already paying it forward.

I must say that I respect and appreciate her honesty and thoughts converyed in her post. This shows that she intends on doing the best she can to produce quality content and to add value to the community. She is indeed an impressive and promising steemian.

2. @dmilliz

I nominate @dmilliz for his blog post:
Port Royal ( 100 Days of Poetry) {Day #61}

It gives me great pleasure to feature @dmilliz in my entry to this week's pay it forward contest. No, I am not featuring him because he was the person who introduced me to steemit. Neither am I featuring him because I know him.

I am featuring him because, over the period of time that I have watched him produce from behind his computer screen, he has proven himself time and time again. His dedication and quality content are admirable and inspiring.

His post that I am featuring today is in the form of a poem. While he does other writings which include his PAPA-Ratsi diaries with his twins, blockchain among other topics, he truly enjoys writing poems and does a very good job at it.

The structure of his featured post is clean and easy to follow. It describes the occurrences of history that is also depicted in the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean."

He did a great job taking us back to a period that will forever remain on the lips of humans. I wasn't the only one who was overly impressed with his writing skills.

Everything about this poem, which includes the pictures that were chosen, were in perfect harmony. It is great to see that poetry still has a place in the hearts of humans and a home on steemit. Job well done indeed.

3. @victorholyo

I nominate @victorholyo for his blog post:
I'm a Happy Steemit Baby!

During my search for bloggers whom I deem worthy of being featured in this contest, I came across @victorholyo. I was attracted by the humour and energy that was used to start his self-introduced.

He is a Communications student who has a keen interest in not only writing and posting but also assisting others with writing (as he develops his own writing). This to me is a way for him to learn while helping others along the way.

Although he didn't make a very long post nor got very detailed in his introduction, I believe that his zeal and the playful depiction of himself is worthy of being highlighted.

I enrolled in the course and I guess all is history. I will be getting my Masters soon and then I will become a full-time steemit blogger hoping to amass a fortune for me to get married in 2019, have 2 beautiful babies and live happily ever after.

Don’t worry. I am sane and dreaming too big here. So please excuse me for being too crazy. I know what is real and what is not.

He has the potential to do great things.
