One More Time Around the Sun
One more time around the sun
Until it's time to come undone
The one last time I met the one
I met them all, every last one
Until there were tears in the heavens
And music down below
And ten thousand more reasons
Why we will never know
Why we must wait one more time
To traverse the sun
To spin around in this jacket
To end what's begun
But there are splinters within me
There are itches I know
I can't relinquish their madness
As I reap this unknown
And the dust will settle
As the score will show
The love will linger
Past the pain not owned
Pushed into shadows
That asked to be healed
And answers once sought
But as yet not revealed
Because the veil sits tightly
The curse of the soul
That knows more than it wants to
But less than it shows
It's madness to some
This strangeness that has come
Upon a wandering gypsy
Who wondered upon
A star that looked lonely
And asked for a smile
Stay with me now
The star whispered slowly
Travel with me
One more time
Around the sun
Then continue on your journey
Before this world brings you down
Before you come undone
