steemit taught me to "stop and smell the roses".

Right smack in the middle of the entrance of Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Singapore was this huge larger than life, bronze "goddess" and I thought she was beautiful. I was there for a performance today and although I have been there numerous times and probably walked past this "goddess" just as many times, today is the first time, I noticed her.

This is Mandarin Oriental, Singapore during the day. And yes, that's the moon right there in the day too.

One of the biggest change in me after embarking on my steemit journey is the sudden return of my ability to "stop and smell the roses", I became a lot more alert and aware of all the beauty and happenings surrounding me that I would have taken for granted and miss completely just not too long ago, pre-steemit days ;)

My constant lookout for interesting things and inspiration for ideas for posts got me a lot more sensitive to everything and everyone around me.

Perhaps the busyness of our lives has made us too occupied with our own business. Or maybe as we grow up, life pressures and demands have rid us of our ability to appreciate the beauty all around us.

I was not living in the moment for too long.

We are all on a journey, remember to enjoy the sights and sounds along the way, remember to "stop and smell the roses".

I am glad I did today :)
