May 30 Days Writing Challenge - Day Twenty Six: What’s Your Favorite Tool / Blockchain Explorer for Steemit?

Welcome to the twenty sixth day of the May 30 days writing challenge. If you don't know what this challenge is about, please have a look at the introductory post. Also, at the end of each article I will post the links to all the posts in the challenge (if you're joining the challenge, I encourage you to do the same). Also, if you join, don't forget to tag your post with #challenge30days and also leave a comment with the link of your post, so I can evaluate if you're one of the 3 lucky Steemians that will get a full upvote from me.

What’s Your Favorite Tool / Blockchain Explorer for Steemit?

I will start by saying upfront that I use steem.supply on a daily basis, but I will exclude it from my choices. I wrote that tool and got an enormous amount of feedback and support from my followers, but I won't think it would be fair to include it in this post.

So, my favorite blockchain explorer for Steemit is actually two explorers :)

1. steemd.com

Steemd.com, by @roadscape, was the first blockchain explorer I saw when I started to use Steem, around 2 years ago. It's very basic, but also extremely comprehensive and accurate. The witnesses page is the one that I'm referring to most frequently, but I'm also using it to check various bits and pieces, like specific transactions or operations.

2. steemdb.com

Steemdb.com, by @jesta, is one of his many contributions to this blockchain (apart from the desktop wallet Vessel, his now defunct chainbb.com and many other improvements). I like the UI and how the information is laid out, in a more structured way than Steemd.com.

With that being said, I don't think there is a "perfect" tool out there and each one serves a specific purpose. The more, the merrier :)

So, what's your favorite blockchain explorer / tool for the Steem universe? Leave a link to your post in the comments so I can check it out.

Wanna know when you're getting paid?

I know the feeling. That's why I created steem.supply, an easy to use and accurate tool for calculating your Steemit rewards

It's free to use, but if you think this is a useful addition, I'd appreciate your witness vote.

Thank you!
