The designs keep pouring in for the 2018 Steem Silver Round!

This is just so amazing, the amount of incredible designs and interest coming from the community. The voting round in going to be intense, and with the shear volume of designs I think it will have to be over 2 rounds with some sort of modified run off or something.

And there are still 2 more days to submit designs!

I think we were up to like 18 designs and now I have another 8 to review today!

Design lot 1
Design lot 2
Design lot 3

Design lot 4

The final deadline is 7 Feb 2018 (tomorrow), 2359EST

The grand prize is having your art on the coin, but we are also giving Steem Prizes as well.

We will guarantee a First place prize of 30STEEM, second place of 15STEEM and 3rd place of 5STEEM. We do hope to be able to offer additional prizes and that will depend on post payouts and any donations received.

You are welcome to post your designs in comments of any related posts and we will be publishing regular updates, but it is also recommended to make a dedicated post with further details about your design using the tag #steemsilverround.

Entry's

This one is a super cool take on the project from @dandesign86 You can see more imagines in his post here. It has a great reverse proof finish with the frosted background. It also has a very unique cut out design, I know the mint we work with is usually willing to try new things with us, but that experimentation and extra work going into each coin may make the costs of producing these prohibitive, but we're certainly willing to give it a try.

This next design is from @orionsbeltbuckle and you can read his full post here. It's very similar to 2017, but 2017 was damn awesome, no complaints here. I love the balance of it with the two dolphins. We would just need to remove the steemit logo and word steemit and replace it with steem. (this is due to copyright issues with the steemit logo, while the steem logo is open-source and free for use in reproductions such as this).

This is a cool one from @mariae, she incorporated elements from our mint logo into the overall steem design. You can see her post Here

I'm really digging this one that was dropped in the comment section of the last post by @artwithflo. I think she described it best in her comment so I'll repost that below. She also incorporated the same waves that were in the background as last years round.

I think Steemit will always be a sea full of happy fish, dolphins and whales, all getting along together. And the Steemit logo makes me think of whales and a yin and yang sign.

This is another cool design this time from @owenwat. It has a stylized anarchy symbol with interlaced fingers.

He also included this second design here with come connected hands. I think they are both interesting takes and steemit really being free and also connections between the users. You can check out his full post Here

I'm really digging this design. I'm not sure if some of these designers @smartcoins investigated us but @ejr and I both hold a special bond with the first nations people after spending years providing nurse care on remote reservations. Once again I'll just let there description speak for it's self. You can go show them support at this post Here.

We chose the native canadian art form to underline the "power back to the people" principle of steemit, therefor we also took the phrase "steempower to people" to set a clear statement why steemit is important.

This is a very artistic design title "patience" from @mikkolyytinen. I feel like it's a simple and subtle design with lots of depth. It's well explained in this post here, so be sure to go check it out.

This design is another submission from @edxserverus, It removed the wording from his previous design and incorporated a few different elements. I think it works really well, please check out his post here.

I wasn't kidding when I said thing were heating up! How are we going to choose just one!

As previously all SBD from this post are being donated to @steemsilverround to help fund this project and keep the costs as low as we can for everyone.

Please feel free to make any donations to @steemsilverround, and/or do your own shout out or fundraising post for this project.

The voting round in only a few days away and once we have determined a design we can start finalizing a timeline and start taking some preorders.
