Voice chat is one of the great features of Discord that often goes underused.
At @thesteemengine, we're all about connecting users in order to improve engagement across Steemit. Yesterday, we hosted the second edition of our new Talk of the Line segment, where we invited members to come on a voice channel in our Discord server and talk about their most recent posts!
If you missed the segment, you can listen to the entire episode here:
I want to apologize in advance. There were some issues with recording that caused my voice to drop a half step in pitch. I attempted to resolve this with Audacity, but it resulted in my voice sounding a bit unnatural with some skips mixed in. I'm going to work on this for next week.
Here's a recap of what you missed:
The Curation Segment:
@dreemsteem shared a thoughtful reflection on some of her fondest memories.
@crazybgadventure shared his insights into what it's like to be on Steemit full-time.
@zen-art (Petra) shared some advice for dream interpretation.
@arrrados shared a Norse mythology post about the creation of the world.
@ShadowsPub shared a list of the Steemit groups and initiatives she personally supports.
@whack.science shared his incredible entry into the @BuddyUP logo competition.
@HopeHuggs shared part 2 of a children's story about kindness featuring Bimble Bee.
@bafi shared his second Lego Architecture post featuring the Eiffel Tower!
and finally,
@crazybgadventure paid tribute to @thesteemengine's wonderful curator @EnchantedSpirit by sharing a bit about her latest astrology observations.
Chatter
There were plenty of great moments, including
- @arrrados's dream about Mars deflating,
- @AwakentoLife's introduction of @zen-art, and
- A discussion on how building LEGO sets can be therapeutic.
Final Thoughts
Our second episode of Talk of the Line went swimmingly! We had around 20 people drop into the Discord voice chat room during the session, and it was great to hear from the majority of them.
It was a blast being able to co-host the show again with @AwakenToLife, so we're already looking forward to next week's broadcast.
I am going to work on resolving the audio issues I experienced with the recording, so I hope next week will be much better.
Talk of the Line is sponsored by @thesteemengine, an initiative dedicated to promoting engagement among its members and rewarding undervalued content. If you'd like to find out more about the group and learn how to apply, check out this post or visit @thesteemengine's profile!
The date and time of the next Talk of the Line are yet to be determined, so stay tuned for more updates! Thank you again to all who participated!
Talk of the Line is broadcasted live on the SteemStar network, a service of witness @SirCork.
