Over the weekend we decided to explore some more of Oman, we wanted to keep it to places closer to Muscat city so we selected on visiting the most famous Bimmah Sinkhole and in the same line Wadi Dayqah Dam. Both the places were beautiful, unique in their own way..
So today I'll share some of our visit pictures and info of both these places..
Bimmah Sinkhole
This sinkhole is basically formed due to limestone erosion and the rocks collapsing due to which it has the sinkhole formation, though the locals believe that the sinkhole formation is due to a meteor falling in this spot. Its a very famous spot for tourist and locals as people come here either for a swim or just for a barbecue which can be done in the park area of the sinkhole..
The water here is crystal clear. The sinkhole is connected to the sea through a tunnel and hence you will find the same turquoise water off the sea here. If you ever visit Oman you should not miss out on Bimmah Sinkhole
The Sinkhole view from the top
A dive from the top, I do not know swimming so I miss out on this fun part. If you are really looking out for some adventure, this is one of the best thing one can do here.
And on our way to Wadi Dayqah Dam, look at the color of the water here, its so clear and sparkling. The drive all the way through is very scenic.
You can see the water here almost merging with the sky
This is at the Wadi Dayqah Dam, the dam gates were closed so we could not see the functioning of the dam, but the view here is amazing and yes we could spend some time in the park which was wonderful and I love spending time in nature and getting connected to mother earth so this is something that best suits me.
I could not get a very clear picture of the dam part so not putting up that part, the below picture is the side of the dam.
The final rays of the setting sun giving a message of how you can blend yourself with nature and flow with joy and ease.
And then to wind up the day we decided to do some yoga on the way. Yoga the way of our life
It was a fulfilled day spent in nature and so rejuvenating.
