Hello Steemians! Today I'd like to show you once again a very beautiful city, which probably not many of you know and it would still be the same for me today, if I hadn't made a bus trip from Brussels to Luxembourg, where Dinant was a stopover on the way back.
Hallo Steemianer! Heute möchte ich euch wieder mal eine sehr schöne Stadt zeigen, die wahrscheinlich nicht sehr viele von euch kennen und mir würde es auch heute noch so gehen, hätte ich nicht einen Busausflug von Brüssel, nach Luxemburg unternommen, bei dem Dinant ein Zwischenstopp auf dem Rückweg war.
The city is located in the Walloon region and has about 13,000 inhabitants. By far the best known son of the city is Adolph Sax, the inventor of the saxophone. You can easily tell how proud the citizens are of him from the many saxophone sculptures in the center.
Die Stadt liegt in der Region Wallonien und hat ca. 13.000 Einwohner. Der mit Abstand bekannteste Sohn der Stadt ist Adolph Sax, der Erfinder des Saxophons. Wie stolz die Einwohner auf ihn sind, merkt man ständig, an den vielen Saxophonskulpturen im Zentrum.
Here you can see the beautiful cathedral and behind it, the citadel, which is located on a 100 meter high rock above the city.
Hier seht ihr die wunderschöne Kathedrale und dahinter, die Zitadelle, die sich auf einem 100 Meter hohen Felsen über der Stadt befindet.
This saxophone sculpture in front of the town hall is made entirely of glass and is a popular photo motif.
Diese Saxophonskulptur vor dem Rathaus, besteht komplett aus Glas und ist ein beliebtes Fotomotiv.
Unfortunately, I only had about an hour to explore Dinant. I would have liked to see the sunset in this very photogenic city and also climbed the hill on which the citadel is located. But I had to catch my excursion bus back to Brussels. I can only recommend you to spend at least one afternoon in Dinant if you will ever visit Belgium!
Leider hatte ich nur eine knappe Stunde Zeit, um Dinant zu erkunden. Gerne hätte ich noch den Sonnenuntergang in dieser sehr fotogenen Stadt erlebt und auch den Berg, auf dem sich die Zitadelle befindet, erklommen. Doch ich musste meinen Ausflugsbus zurück nach Brüssel erwischen. Ich kann euch nur empfehlen, wenn ihr mal in Belgien seid, zumindest einen Nachmittag in Dinant zu verbringen!
