All of us, in a way, at a particular stage of our lives, have felt so destroyed that we thought we could not see the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s a terrible feeling of helplessness and sadness. As if we could never see life with the same eyes or color, as if we could never smile again. Everything around us is gray.
But, at this stage, is there no light at the end of the tunnel, or is that we aren’t able to see it? Because we have a head down attitude, we're consumed with sadness, with tears rolling out of our eyes, not allowing us to see properly? Is the light there and we are facing away from it, as in the allegory of Plato's cave, only seeing shadows?
Are we blinded by pain, short-sighted, shaped by preconceptions? What shall we do then? I have no answers, but I have a motto: Keep the faith! Believe. Be stubborn and let it flow, all at the same time. Look around you. Maybe the light is elsewhere, even before getting the tunnel’s end.
Believe.
Open your mind.
And your eyes.
And your heart.
Get out of the box and try to get out of the tunnel ... into the light!
