I got up today and saw that the #colorchallenge was yellow today. I had looked around for a good part of the day trying to decide what on earth I wanted to share with you today that was yellow.
Well, low and behold, I inspected this cactus yesterday and there were no blooms, just buds. At some point today, voila, YELLOW BLOOM. I had no idea what color the blooms were going to be. This big tub of cactus came with the house and this is the first time I'm seeing it bloom.
I was lucky enough to get a little native bee getting some nectar from it also. Awe.
I was trying to pull away some of those grasses from the shot but ended up poking myself about a bajillion times. rolls eyes Of course I would. I am loving this time of year on the homestead. Since we purchased the property in December, we really had no idea the type of plants and flowers we had. Things are starting to bloom, finally, it's like a little present from nature, every day.
