We talk Ethereum Classic (ETC) and GXShares (GXS) in this 18th Cup of Coffee 'N Crypto.
In this @dlive video, I go more into detail about the following information and more:
Ethereum Classic (ETC)
ETC is the original Ethereum chain before the hardfork that caused the split in the Ethereum community. Proponents for the hard fork went with Ethereum. Opponnents of the hard fork stayed put with the original chain hence the name Ethereum Classic.
One of the main goals of Ethereum was to make sure the blockchain was immutable meaning valid transactions can never be erased or forgotten.
When the hack of $50 million of the Ethereum DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) happened, one side (the new ETH) wanted to go back and start a new blockchain at the block (1,920,000) where the hack happened. Basically, resetting everything like the hack did not happen and starting a new blockchain.
And one side, Ethereum Classic, wanted to maintain the values of immutability and kept the original code and blockchain of Ethereum.
Ethereum Classic's price has been pumping since it has been listed as a crypto available for trading on Robinhood. Is that the only reason?

GXShares (GXS)
A decentralized peer-to-peer data exchange that helps facilitate credit verification as well.
GXS is different than GXB but both are associated with the GXB Blockchain.
Whereas GXB is used to pay for data services on the network, GXS is traded on exchanges like Binance and QBTC and entitles you to sharing 10% of the comissions generated on the exchange as well as any trading gains.
Recent partnership with ASCH and the BlockCity project has brought new awareness as roughly 500,000 accounts in BlockCity have been opened recently.
Is this the reason for the price boost currently?
