6 Pecan Recipes From Fellow Steemians Guaranteed to Make Your Stomach Growl! #FoodHoliday

National Pecan Day.png

I'm late with my post today, because...life.

Better late than never though, right? These recipes are good any day of the week, so we're good.

Anyway, I had an epiphany today. I just love it when that happens. 😎

I thought if I am going to be doing these posts, I should probably see if there are any I could feature from my fellow Steemians. (Steemer? Steemophile? I'm new here so if there is an official term, do let me know, won't you? Or comment what you call us, either way!)

After all, that's the whole point of this, right? Community?

I want to give back, and since I can't do that with upvotes or delegation or any of that right now, the least I can do is highlight other folk's posts and try to get them some eyeballs and love.

What better time to start than now...

So, since today is National Pecan Day, I searched to see if anybody else on here loves nuts as much as I do. (That sounded better in my head!) 😲

It just so happens, there are some pretty yummy-sounding recipes our fellow Steemians have posted that feature pecans.

There are some healthy ones, aaaaaaaand some not-so-healthy ones.

After all, when you think of pecans, what's the first thing to come to mind?

Yup, pecan pie.

That wasn't yours? Ah well...that's why I'm not a magician. 😏

Anyway, if you love pecans, check these out and be sure to show your support for the original poster. They are in no particular order, because, well, I am not sure I could have possibly ordered them.

They all look so good!

Here we go...

1 - Pecan, Walnut, and Almond Tart by @deerdeborah

Pecan, Walnut, and Almond Tart

What's better than a tart with pecans in it?

A tart with TWO MORE TYPES OF NUTS IN IT!!

The crust to this beautiful creation is made of ground walnuts and coconut flour, and the filling includes a cup and a half of nuts along with another third of a cup of pecans to top it off.

You don't have to place them perfectly like she did, but it sure does make it look pretty.

She hasn't posted in a while, so maybe some friendly faces and comments can bring her back so she shares more recipes like this with us.

2 - Baked Brie With Cranberry Apple Chutney And Crumbled Pecans by @rebeccaryan

Brie can be an acquired taste. Some people like it.

Others, not so much.

Same goes for the rind; some take it off, some eat it.

I have a feeling that even those that don't like it may change their minds with this recipe.

I learned something new with this recipe as well, I had no clue there was a such thing as a brie baker. Learn something new everyday!

The combination of flavors in the recipe just sound so tantalizing. Tart and sweet and nutty and creamy - YUM!

3 - Radicchio and Arugula Salad with Honey-Roasted Pears and Toasted Pecans by @jonnysumo

Salad with Honey-Roasted Pears and Toasted Pecans image

A long time ago, I didn't like fruit in my salad. Then one day at a winery, I ordered the house special salad, which had strawberries, walnuts, and an amazing fruit vinaigrette.

I still have to be in the mood for it though. Let's face it, sometimes you just need ranch.

Then again, sometimes there is nothing like a ripe pear. I am a bit partial to them though. See, in boot camp, the food is not always...edible. But one thing I could always count on being fairly good was the fruit.

My favorite? Yup, pears! 🍐🍐

Not sure how many others on here have been to boot camp, but if you have, you probably know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, if you like fruit and nuts with your specialty lettuce, this is one for you.

4 - Super Healthy Raw Maple Pecan Pie by @plantbasedmiri

Healthy Raw Maple Pecan Pie

A healthy pecan pie???

Whaaaaaaaat?!?!?!

I must admit, I'm not big on pies. I'm one of those people that will bake them, take a picture, and watch while everyone else devours it.

Unless it's pecan pie. Then good luck. You might lose a hand. I'll give you a warning stab with my fork but you better not try twice.

Just kidding. About losing a hand, anyway. The fork stab, I'm not so sure.

Yes, I LOVE pecan pie. And I had no idea there was even a way to make it healthy.

And it has pure maple syrup?!?!?!

Sold! I've gotta try it ASAP. You too?

5 - No Bake - Smooth & Creamy Pumpkin Cheesecake With Pecans by @beccadeals

No-bake Pumpkin Cheesecake with Pecans

I love fall. The brisk air and the gorgeous colors everywhere, not too hot and not too cold - what's not to love?

And once fall hits, out comes the pumpkin.

Ok, I admit, it's more like it comes out of the grocery store bag in the can I just bought it in, but...you know.

My signature recipe for this time of year is pumpkin cranberry bread, which is ah-mazing and requested often.

But, if it's got pumpkin in it, I will try it at least once.

I think my addiction is because of pumpkin pie spice. I make a big batch homemade and it just smells wonderful - I could put it on everything!

One thing I haven't done is pumpkin cheesecake. I love the fact this is no-bake, and it sounds like it comes together in no time.

Add that with the pecans and chocolate sauce that's drizzled on it? My my my.

She uses a bit of hypnosis in this post, so be forewarned if you go check it out (And you should!), you will probably want this. Now.

6 - Caramel Pecan Sticky Sweet Rolls by @gringalicious

Caramel Pecan Sticky Sweet Rolls image

I'm pretty sure this Steemian needs no introduction.

The food photo shoots she does are absolutely stunning. It's no wonder she just hit 75 rep! (Congrats!)

Anywho, I love cinnamon rolls in any form. They don't even need cinnamon. They are just one of the best guilty pleasure breakfasts there is.

Or brunch. Or dessert. Whatever.

So when I saw these come up in my search and the words caramel and pecans were next to this image, I had to check them out.

It is after midnight, but I seriously want to make these right now. If only I had pecans...

When you go to the post you will see many more delicious images like this one that will have your stomach grumbling by the end. To get the recipe (which you know you want!), scroll down to the comment section and you will see it.
