Good morning steemit. The first week of our bakery was a success, though I am glad it is Monday (our day off). While I am used to getting up early, normally I have time to slowly wake-up, go for a run, and have a smoothie before I start my day. This week my morning ritual was reduced to a smoothie only :(

And it isn't even high season! I hope that we can afford an extra pair of hands by then hehe!

How have you guys been? Enjoying the start of the warmer months? Here summer (or the hot season) is in full swing. Hot and very sweaty! Can't wait till the cooler months and rain come. Just love that time of the year. Everything is so green and beautiful during the rainy season.

TROPICAL RED BEET MORINGA LASSI 🌿🌺

INGREDIENTS (serves 2 for breakfast)


  • 1 cup fresh moringa leaves
  • 1/2 cup plain unsweetened cultured coconut yogurt
  • Small stalk celery
  • 1/4 big red beet
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup papaya
  • 1 cup mango
  • 1/4 cup mint or more to taste
  • Hemp hearts (for topping)
  • Water as needed

DIRECTIONS

  1. Blend moringa and water until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. If the smoothie is too thick, add more liquid base. If you have a high-speed blender you can blend everything at once.
  2. Optional: top with toppings/superfoods of your choice (chia seeds, goji berries, desiccated coconut, hemp hearts etc.). I used hemp heart this time.
