Introduction | 简介
If you saw my previous post, you will know I went out early Sunday morning to do some volunteer work. Sunday was Car-Free Sunday. This is an initiative that is part of movement towards a car-lite Singapore. The event resulted in roads in the City closed for cars and open to cycling, running, walking and other activities planned on the fringe. I joined a group at the ActiveSG as a volunteer in their sports outreach programme by the tennis academy. Part of fringe activities included mini-tennis try out. Come along with me on my Sunday morning journey.

The journal begins | 出门了
It was very early in the morning but the 7-eleven store downstairs continues to serve.
这是非常早的时刻，但楼下的便利店任然续服务。
On the road, there was not much traffic. The early bus was here but the shops were still not opened.
在路上，没有太多交通。 早公车刚好来到车站但商店仍然没有开门。
Down to the train station.
下去地铁站。
A train arrived and few people alighted. Not crowded as I expected.
列车到了，有人下车但如我预料不是很多人。。

I arrived at the City Hall and saw this nice Chinese New Theme advertisements by a drinks company.
到达政府大夏地铁站，看到一个饮料公司这个漂亮的农历新年主题的广告。
The roads were already closed.
道路已经封了。
The street lights were still turned on.
街灯还未灭。
Look at the message of the side of the stairs.

Set up | 摆设
The markers and nets were there already but not set up according to what we want.
标记和网已经在那里，但不是根据我们想要的设置。
It got brighter. Need to finish the setup before the crowd comes.
天亮了一点。要在众人来之前摆设好。
Tennis fun for all | 网球众乐乐
Time to play some tennis.
