Interesting places in Austria – Linz

Since I already life for some years in Linz, Upper Austria I have already taken a lot of pictures here. It is the 3rd biggest City in Austria with about 200.000 people living here. Linz is known in Austria and abroad because of it’s Steel Industry. The Voest is producing Steel all over the World and the main Site is situated in Linz. Besides the steel Industry Linz is a very nice and lovely small City to live in.

I really enjoy living here, a little outside from the city but still close enough to enjoy the comfort such a City can offer. I have the luck that my working Place is near to my living Place and I don’t have to cross the Danube. In my free time I like to take pictures here.

In the middle of the main Place there is a nice Plague Column which should remind to former illnesses in the middle age. At the Main Place there are also some restaurants a hotel and administrative buildings situated. In summer you’ll get Ice Cream at different kiosks situated on the main place.

Ars Electronica Center – Urfahr

If you cross the Danube over the Niebelungenbrücke you will find the “Ars Electronica Center” which is a museum of future and for modern technologies. There are a lot of different exhibitions at this place and it is a wonderful place to visit with children. At the top of the Ars Electronica Center there is a restaurant with a beautiful view to the center of Linz. The Ars Electronica Center is enlighted with about 40.000 LED lights and can shine in different colors. The Colors of the building will change every view minutes.
