Homecoming Part 2
Part 2 in a 3 part series. Part 1 can be found here.
"It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society."
J. Krishnamurti
Eyes open
Light speaks
The room spins slowly
Left incomplete
Deja vu
But no words to explain
A fear emerging
Of the gifted stain
Unspoken sadness
Sprinkled with joy
Janus is here now
A new life to destroy
The void was not empty
But could not contain
A soul hungry for answers
From all that remains
New breath
Stings slowly
Yet still hungry for more
These thoughts that emerge now
This memory laid bare
What is it that whispers "wake up if you dare?"
Breath once with the body
Then into the soul
Remember the reasons
You chose not to know
A vision that speaks, clothed in eternity
Trying to be different, but cursed to be me
This poetry is my own work, written for Steemit
