If we were in a simulation would we know.
If every person in the universe and the cosmos were just characters in a giant game inside a computer, we would not necessarily know it.
The thought of our whole existence being a computer simulation sounds more like the plot of The Matrix , but is just hypothetical.
Moderator Neil deGrasse Tyson said the odds of our existence being a simulation on someone else's hard drive is 50/50.
A popular dispute for the simulation came from Oxford philosopher Nick Bostrum, suggested the idea that a highly advanced civilization might be running simulation's of their ancestors, they could be running so many at the same time up till most of the minds inside the simulation would become artificial.
Another reason is that the more we learn about the universe, the more it seem's to be based on mathematical law's.
