Sitting by the Fire - Day 107 - Daily Haiku

Sitting by the fire
listening to the night sounds
as a lone owl calls

After more than a week of nearly unremitting rain, the past few nights have been lovely and clear, and tonight, and for the next two weeks our low temperatures are predicted to be in the fifties.

With a lovely serenade by a lonely mockingbird, we could also hear frogs, crickets and other forest critters, and as we were talking, a large owl began calling nearby.

I decided to record our nature concert, in which you can clearly hear the mockingbird and other critters, though our owl opted not to call again; but the other sounds from the woods are more than worthwhile.

Our place truly is Crescendo of Peace. Enjoy.

Dr. Al Sears, well known anti-aging doctor, with his first-class

Melaleuca, a company that has been making natural, eco-friendly
products since the 1980s, that not only work as well as
chemically laden versions from the supermarket,
but are safer, and typically save money overall in addition.

I was introduced to them by a co-worker in 1990, lost track
of them, and was thrilled to find them again about a year
and a half ago. I strongly recommend their products.

All words, images, and the video are my own.

The images and video were taken earlier tonight with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smart phone.

The photo of our dog, Lolo, and our late cat, Miod, I took as they were cooperatively begging at the dinner table, despite our longstanding rule of not feeding them from the table.

You can see how much that deterred them both.
