Happy SUPERBOWL Day Steeeeeeemians! These are so rich and good. Great finger food / sandwiches for the big day. Each burger is packed full of crab meat and shrimp and flavor. Easy to make. These crab and shrimp burgers/cakes are a nice treat. Enjoy.
Tess's Crab and Shrimp Burgers ~ Crab and Shrimp Cakes
Makes 6 nice size patties and would make 8 smaller.
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound crab claw meat
1 pound 16/20 shrimp - peeled and cleaned
1 sleeve of crushed Ritz crackers (just a little over a cup)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp. yellow mustard
2 eggs
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
salt
white pepper
1 tsp. Old Bay Seasoning
1/4 cup finely chopped green onions (green part)
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
hot sauce - optional
butter
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
In large bowl mix everything together except meat.
After mixing, fold in crabmeat and shrimp.
Cover and refrigerate for 2 or more hours.
Form patties and fry in butterd oven proof medium heat pan for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden and firm.
Place in 400 degree oven and finish cooking for 6-10 minutes depending on size of burgers.
Remove from oven and pan and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Enjoy.
