When I leave the US Senate, I am still going to be black

Sen. Timothy Eugene "Tim" Scott, (R-SC) joined the United States Senate in 2013 when South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley named him to fill the seat vacated by Sen Jim DeMint.
Sen Tim Scott speaks at the confirmation hearing for Sen Jeff Sessions as US Attorney-General. Sen Scott describes the Sessions nomination process as,

An issue about all of us as members of the American family.
That digs deep into the core of our nation, of who we could be, who we can be
Sen. Tim Scott

"If you read the read the news reports you walk away with a clear picture based on facts but not necessarily a clear picture based on truth," Tim Scott

There has been a distortion in many echo chambers.
         Tim Scott

"When I leave the US Senate, I am still going to be black." Tim Scott

Our country is being pulled apart by extremes on both ends.

If we take a look at my Aunt Coretta Scott King’s letter, we know that she was a peace maker. Her intentions were never to divide during her whole life. I was her communications and correspondence secretary for several years when I was a young women.

Does Coretta Scott King thank Jeff Sessions?

The Rosa Parks Library dedication

While Coretta Scott King did not single out Sessions for praise or specifically thank him, Cameron Martindale, the President of Troy University Montgomery, did thank Sessions. As Martindale introduced Sessions, she said that the establishment of the Rosa Parks Library would not have been possible without his support.

This project has been doubly blessed by having the support of both Alabama Senators. Senator Jeff Sessions & Senator Richard Shelby. They have worked tirelessly over the last two years to secure funding for this project and I cannot adequately thank them for what they mean to us. This project would not be possible without the support of Senator Shelby and Senator Sessions.
Cameron Martindale, President of Troy University Montgomery.
