Hi Everyone!
Happy Weekend! and speaking of weekends here is my Weekend Freewrite 6
You should try it if you haven't!
On Tuesday, Margaret told me she liked the little oranges with the seeds better than the ones I bought. I hated her for that.
Okay, not hate. Hate is a really strong word. A word not to be just thrown out there willy-nilly to use!
Dislike strongly. I would say..........
What is it about people being so picky nowadays? Before, if you bought things for a friend, they said Thank you, and went about their day being happy! Margret never seemed to be able to be happy about anything. Oranges for goodness sakes! an orange, is an orange, is an orange, except in Colombia where oranges are green! The real color of oranges!
What IS the world coming to? Fred thought again, as he sat in his comfy house, in his comfy chair and watched it snow.
What has happened to people that they wanted everything just so and when it's not, they give up! on everything, it seems. No one likes to try anymore. They want it all for free. No hassle to them. Just handed to them!
Fred got up and walked into the kitchen, he needed to check if the plastic had come off the windows. Sure enough, it had on one edge
They were all the same, I decided. I must have messed up somewhere putting up the plastic this year.
OH well, tomorrow Fred would fix it the way it should be, but for tonight, he found his duct tape and just slapped on a few pieces to seal it back up.
He was very tired today. All the work he had done to get ready for Winter had taken its toll.
The Doctor's had told him to take it easy but it was hard to do when you worked your whole life. Every day get up, go to work, work your 10 to 12 hours a day, then home again. Eat and do it all again, six days a week.
He was slowly, over the years watching all his friends pass away, that was taking it's toll on him too.
Now he found himself wondering how long he had. Was something worth doing? Will he be there to see the Spring?
He hated when he thought like that. More so his kids hated it too but being alone, he needed to talk it out and nowadays his kids were all he had. They were just going to have to listen when he talked and deal with it.
Darn kids! he taught them all how to talk, they could at least listen!
Fred got up the next morning. Went to Margret's and saw the lemon sherbet that melted all over the counter.
He just shook his head and started to clean it up.........
You know, he thought, I might be old but at least I remember to put things away before I go to bed.
Poor Margret.........she was failing faster then he thought.....
He tried to get her to do things with her mind. It would help strengthen it but she just refused.
He didn't know what he was going to do about it. He knew his time was coming to an end. She was in much better shape healthwise then he was, just her brain, her wonderful brain had changed. There was nothing he could do about that. Tho every day he did try.
He might dislike it but he felt he owed it to her after all these years.
Fred went to his chair and started thinking about his whole life, the kids that were all grown now, his Wife that had passed years ago......
He felt his eyes close.............
