Hello Folks,
It's The Interview Showcase!!!. with your one and only host ubongudofot...This is the 27th Edition of “The interview Showcase...."
A lifestyle program that comes with many educational values. A weekly interview of top users/users in the blog concerning some trending topics on the Steemit platform. And tips that can help other Steemians to progress positively and help boost the Steem’s growth.
It will help you to get to know more about Steemians around the globe and even Steemit itself.
I take time to look at some of the most important topics in the blockchain and have a chat/call with top Steemians who have a greater idea about those topics.
They also share some tips that are able to help other users to understand the blockchain and make use of it in the correct way. Sometimes they seek some valuable suggestions here which can help them solve some of their challenges.
This week, I had an Interview with a User from the United Kingdom and I enjoyed a clean version of the English language and a sweet London accent from a lifestyle blogger who is so lively and fun to be with. She has actually visited over 100 different countries in the world..., I wonder why she has not visited Nigeria yet...😃.
My Interview with her was supposed to last for just 30 minutes or less, but we ended up talking for over 1 hour and 35 minutes on a live video call.
Ladies and gentlemen, please let's welcome @petface from Queensland......!!!
🔶Petface: Creative, chatty, bossy, adoring attention so thanks for not taking any longer to approach me for an interview, always on the move and a bit of a rebel..
🔶Petface: Exciting as you never know what sort of an opportunity will come up next.
🔶Petface: Becoming a part of an independent curation team on the platform now able to even look beyond the tags, topics, and communities. Also still being here really, actively. Many come and go but yes, I’m one of those who are here and intend to stay.
🔶Petface: I love every second of it and I keep learning more and more about how to do it better and quicker. It also gives me an idea of where I’m standing, what I can improve in my own posts, and what the latest challenges are.
🔶Petface: Encourage people to write more and spend a bit more time putting a post together as I see the platform as an endless magazine that should carry on providing interesting articles to all of us. I sometimes spot things that prevent me from pressing the upvote arrow so then I try to point the author in the right direction. Some take it and do as recommended, others can’t be bothered but it’s worth a try I reckon.
🔶Petface: I like visiting places and taking photos so it just makes sense to write about those experiences.
🔶Petface: My first post here on the platform, a travel article about Scotland when you don’t want to break the bank. I remember I wrote it on a rainy day either on a Saturday or Sunday.
🔶Petface: Because of the fantastic photographs that I chose to feature which illustrate the article really well and give the readers as realistic an impression of this part of Scotland as possible. People skim the article first so the photos catch their eye initially. Then some choose to spend a few more minutes and actually end up reading the text.
🔶Petface: I write using voice-to-text when I exercise, the built-in pages and notes applications on mobile devices when I’m on the underground or on a plane somewhere or I just start drafting an email. Taking inspiration from something that I just read, saw, or photoed makes me do it, as I wish to share my experience with others. My articles are always positive which reflects my personality. Often I incorporate a question within my article to determine how much people actually read and whether they can be bothered to answer it. I try to use plain and simple English so my content reaches as many people as possible. I find both the photos that I feature in an article and the text equally important. I spend some time editing the images too so the Steemians see them at their best. It’s like a girl putting some make-up on when she’s going out.
🔶Petface: I try and write about different places that people will hopefully enjoy reading about.
🔶Petface: Both indeed, being both sides of the camera. I won my first contest when I was just a few months old with a photo that my grandfather took of me with my father’s army hat on. A few years later I started taking my own photos too. Currently, I am a trusted contributor to popular stock websites where some of my photographs come up on the first pages which are based on the huge number of downloads they got and keep getting. When I’m at work I rarely take photos of myself, though a few times a week a large number of photographs that the travel agency I work for intends to use are run past me. I choose which ones we will feature online and which will be printed. I then advise the graphic designers of the edits I want before going live with them in the order and size I consider best having in mind what the clients and agents would love to see related to the holidays we sell..
🔶Petface: what's your advice to Users for better growth? Quality for quantity really. Don’t feel obliged to post when you honestly have nothing up your sleeve. Though when you put an article together, as often as you can, make it a memorable one, and engage the audience.
🔶Petface: Certainly, I will gladly introduce you to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
🔶Petface: Yes, several times, I know Bali and the islands nearby quite well..
🔶Petface: It’s definitely over a hundred, but without making a huge list I don’t know the exact number to be honest. The best memories I’ve had in Mexico where I’ve been 4 times and I’m pretty sure I’ll visit again.
🔶Petface: I have already been to the African countries along the Mediterranean and I have also visited Mauritius and Madagascar. The next one on my list is South Africa or nearby for a safari.
🔶Petface: Yes, there is a street food market in London that has stalls from all around the world. This is where I tried Ethiopian cuisine.
🔶Petface: Hard to say as the crypto universe is ever so unpredictable and overcrowded with currencies at the moment but of course I do hope for the best. I want to see STEEM going up in value which will undoubtedly bring us more new people in, respectively more fresh, quality content daily.
🔶Petface: I certainly do, I listen to house music and I am currently fond of anything by the Shapeshifters.
🔶Petface: No, but if you’ve got a few recommendations I’ll look them up.
🔶Petface: Thanks for asking, I meant to suggest you approach @stef1.
🔶Petface: Keep up the good work, improving the platform and investing in online marketing..
🔶Petface: Do you think it should continue? Definitely, it’s interesting to find out about the other people on the platform, who they really are, and what they like.
