Ever tasted a coconut apple????

How many of you have tasted a coconut apple? Never heard of it?No worries.I have all the information😇
I have been to my hometown recently which is known as 'Kerala'.The very word revolves around coconut(Kera means coconut) and coconut trees as well as a Kerala womens life too😁
Thats true! You can hardly find any kerala dish without even a pinch of coconut in it.Be it grated coconut, coconut milk, ground to paste ,dry chopped coconut, coconut oil.Any form is acceptable. Our entire life revolves around it😎Yeah!!
And the best thing is we grow our own coconut trees. You can't find any houses without a few coconut trees in its backyard.
So this time during my visit I thought of digging out some coconuts from the storage and check for coconut apple which is extremely delicious. Its very peaceful to even look at it .Pure white, soft and spongy and juicy too.
Coconut has many health benefits. So you can imagine how nutritious would be the coconut apple.
Did I forgot to mention coconut apple is nothing but the coconut embryo.A coconut under proper conditions of sunlight and moisture content has the capability to sprout and turn into a plant. It is during this time the water inside coconut tranforms into solid white embryo to provide nutrients to the sprout. And it is this thing that we snatch and eat.Pretty sad but its so yummy you won't feel any regret😈
So here it is people 👇

And you can eat it raw like any other fruit.Just look at the texture. Its very sweet even better than coconut water.

But not every sprout one has embryo inside. The second below one didn't have one.It just dried up.

A complete coconut storage zone. Not a single part of coconut is wasted. The shells and husk are used for burning old model fire stove.

Some arecanuts. The nut inside is scraped and chewed along with beetle leaves and some tobacco as a form of narcotic.
