When Confusion Creeps In

If there is one thing we so much dread, then it's getting lost (I believe), we all wanna be those "perfect" people, being sure of the decisions we make and the right path to follow with no chaos at all, but that doesn't happen all the time. We've all been confused at one point in our lives and that feeling of confusion isn't one that we ever wanna have (again).

The feeling of confusion makes us feel stressed out, stuck, anxious and powerless, looking at it, confusion seems like nothing but negative. But I believe there is more to confusion than negativity

Confusion is absolutely normal, it only goes to show how functional our mind is, how much it is growing and how filled we are with new and exciting ideas (just that we are not sure which is the best yet). Your mind is just opening up a bit more!

Just imagine you visiting a new place you are unfamiliar with, you have the address but somehow you got lost on your way, you might wanna ask people passing by for direction or use the GPS instead and you will find your way quite fast. But when you choose to find your way by yourself, even when it seems like a futile effort, you will not just end up finding your way but you will discover exciting things and places that you never thought existed (That's if you face it with a positive attitude).

How Do We Walk Through Our Confusion?

1. Explore

Your mind is opening, new ideas are arising, don't stop its flow. Open your heart to those new ideas and let yourself explore it, there is so much to be learnt, even in your confusion, don't miss out on that by closing your heart or stopping yourself from exploring.

2. Find/Maintain Inner Peace

If not careful, confusion can steal one's peace, but that isn't what it is all about. Your peace is what will keep you during that phase of confusion, don't jeopardize it. Be at peace even when you don't have the answers

3. Face it With Positivity

Seeing confusion as negativity or through a lens of negativity will only keep you trapped in that cycle much longer and probably with so much frustration. How we view confusion really matters and influences the step we take towards it. It is really our interpretation of it that matters, face it with positivity and see how much you get out of it.

4. Seek Clarity

No matter how "clear" we think we are about our path, uncertainties might still creep it, it is important that we seek clarity when that happens.

5. Take One Step at a Time

Don't be in a rush to get over that phase or else, you might lose out on so many things you might get out of it. Be patient and let things unfold one at a time. When you feel sure enough to take steps forward, take small steps and see how comfortable you are, then maybe you can take big steps.

It's amazing how this thing we so much dread can bring about self-discovery and growth. Confusion is just a phase that we pass through. Just remember that you might seem lost, but you will soon find your way out and when you do, you will feel empowered and with a fresh(and better) perspective to life.
