Henry Ford
Opportunity
Henry Ford (July 30, 1863 – April 7, 1947) was an American industrialist, the founder of the Ford Motor Company, and the sponsor of the development of the assembly line technique of mass production.

Most people remember Henry Ford because of Ford Motor Company and the assembly line.
The greater point is that people remember him.
When he designed the V8 motor, and he had it on paper, the crew he had assigned to the task told him repeatedly that it was simply impossible to cast an 8 cylinder engine block in one piece.
He told them to build it anyway.
Now this type of block is literally everywhere.
I think it's safe to say that Henry ford changed the world by helping to put automobiles in the hands of everyday people.

He was quoted saying something that I can relate with and I'm thinking you will as well.
it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”
This is a great statement.
How many opportunities do you think are missed because people see them as work?
I imagine that number is actually infinite.
The truth is that opportunity is not something that is given. You have to take it!

No one is out there just waiting to hand you happiness, success or fortune.
You have to get down in the dirt and make it happen.
Often times opportunity will scare people away once it looks like it may become something that they have to work for.

One of my mentors taught me a wonderful definition for character:
Character is following through on a decision long after the excitement of the moment has passed.
When opportunity first shows itself it's often easy to see and will even excite us.
Once people realize the amount of dedication it will take most will shy away.
It takes someone with true character to push through and continue to work even though it no longer seems glamorous.
So, if you really want to achieve great things in life you have to really dedicate yourself to it.
You have to immerse yourself fully and make it happen.
When it gets hard you need to push back harder!
If you do, pretty soon you will be being carried by the momentum and force that you yourself have created.
That's when it will become effortless.
That's when life will really seem magical!
Thanks for reading.
