I Am So Grateful - Day 108 - Daily Haiku

20111002 Fallen Log in CalfKiller River.jpg

I am so grateful
to be where I am today
and also with whom

Cori MacNaughton

The part I'd like to skip is that my honey has been ill; the good part is that he has been home and we are together. For better or worse, but realistically, I'll take it - any time he is home is better than all the times when he is away.

He's just too much fun to be around, and even when he's feeling lousy, he's still cracking jokes. He was even cracking jokes yesterday that he'll still be cracking jokes at his funeral, and I wouldn't put it past him. If anyone could find a way; he could. ;-)

Lolo and the cats have been happy to have him home as well, especially Bear, who is an old soul and a natural healer. He knows where it hurts and that's where he lies, either on or next to, giving his loving and peaceful energy. Such a sweet boy.

I'm grateful to be here, in this wondrous place, with my amazing and funny guy, and our goofy and wonderful animals. Life is wonderful.

Melaleuca, a company that has been making natural, eco-friendly
products since the 1980s, that not only work as well as
chemically laden versions from the supermarket,
but are safer, and typically save money overall in addition.

I was introduced to them by a co-worker in 1990, lost track
of them, and was thrilled to find them again about a year
and a half ago. I strongly recommend their products.

All words and images are my own.

I took this photo shortly after we moved to our place here in Tennessee. This is the Calfkiller River, that forms our eastern border, and is the lifeblood and wildlife corridor for our part of the Highland Ridge. I took this with my Canon SX 30 iS camera.

The photo of our dog, Lolo, and our late cat, Miod, I took as they were cooperatively begging at the dinner table, despite our longstanding rule of not feeding them from the table.

You can see how much that deterred them both.
