Designing Tree Allées

@mintvilla: You probably have walked or drove a straight way that has a row of trees on each side. In a city setting, it is common to see this kind of pathway landscape as a streetscape or an entrance way to a destination or a focal point of interest. We call this allées.

Connecting Dots : Translating Dance into Drawing

@erb: In 2013, artist and curator Yujin Lee invited me to participate in an exhibition called Connecting Dots. The concept behind the exhibition took some inspiration from the Surrealist game called "exquisite corpse," in which multiple creatives create a singular work of art by passing the work back and forth in a series of steps. In this case, however, Yujin devised a system for collaboration which jumped between multiple mediums of artistic expression.

Year 2017 in Music: The Major Achievements, Technology, and Goals

@playitforward: I wanted to talk about some of the major achievements in the music industry. From technological advancements, incredible achievements by the well-known and previously unknown, and goals looking forward. Music is a growing and transforming art that has always had a large stake in forming the cultures of the world, and this is an attempt to summarize this year in music.

Mika's Mandala Artwork

@luvabi: Homeschooling gives the flexibility of a different way of approaching visual imagination for children through Art. Here I share how my 6 year old daughter appreciates Mandalas and gives them patterns and colors. These all go to her Homeschooling Art Portfolio which we submit to her school at the end of the year.

Witnessing Your Soul, Seeing Governance, and Feeling the Economy (Born-Again Christians, LSD, and Foucault No. 1)

@spectrums: In 1967 Southern Baptist theologian and pastoral care author Wayne E. Oates—famous for coining the term "workaholic"—delivered a series of talks before the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary faculty on mystical experience under Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), contrasting with the Christian mystical experience...Around the same time as the Log Cabin tradition also took off in Southern California, a spiritual politics on the right was brewing for the new economy, using meta-data–driven constituencies. This reactionary base was a digital congregation, the pews replaced by couches, the furniture tethered by satellite technology. The "electric church” revolutionized faith as entertainment.

The Making of “matt sokol - potion of increased strength (BEAT)” // More Beatmaking in Ultrabeat

@heymattsokol: Electronic music is a mystery to most of us. People seem to press big shiny buttons and then huge beats come out... but our own Matt Sokol has been demystifying the process behind how he creates his unique style of warped hyperactive electro-drum grooves. Anybody who likes Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, etc, should check out this post - it's wild!

Heaven and Earth

@shortcut: One of the favorite series, I did in the expiring year was a photography series called "Heaven and Earth". I think, it nicely describes the poles between I've moved during the year.

Flourishing Filipino Literature - Filipino Poetry 'Konti na lang'

@themanualbot: Hello Steemians! This is my second pile up of Filipino Poetry empowered by @sndbox. I hope you'll find this type of content in steemit as important as other native languages like korean, spanish, etc. Thanks!

@anomadsoul: This contest is about telling your fellow Steemians how you spent your New Year´s Eve and what how you celebrated welcoming the 2018. Whether you write about it, do a photo album, or maybe a video... it doesn´t matter, share with us your experience!

I am Grateful for Steem

@GuyFawkes4-20: No matter if you just joined and you’re not making much, or if you’re here for a long time and you’re making huge money, you should be grateful for being on Steem.

Tires! Know them well #2

@aaronleang: Tires! Don't ignore them when you drive

What is Love [Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more...]

@meanmommy33: A perfectly philosophical post about love - don't expect any answers though, the answers exist only in our heart! Share the Love peeps!

The Pros and Cons of Resteeming | How does Resteeming Many Blogs affect you?

jassennessaj: Resteeming is a big thing in Steemit. Though resteeming creates a big impact to the platform, there are also bad side of it. I made this post specifically to share awareness among users who are resteeming so much and still didn't have a full grasp of the platform.

How To Leverage Criticism To Improve Your Blog

@jrswab: Criticism can be both helpful and hurtful, but each type can help us improve our blog. As bloggers we should always look for ways to make our work better and more helpful to the readers. Our blogging goals need to be aimed at helping others every time we sit down to write.

Why is Traveling Alone Better?

@teachblogger: Many people fear of traveling alone, but the reality is completely different. Based on my experiences, traveling alone has helped me a lot to improve myself. My post will help you to go on an adventure leaving everybody behind.

Solar Energy: Decentralising Power Distribution

@jaff8: Solar Energy supports a decentralised system just the way Blockchain technology does. Solar energy helps in distributing power instead of sending to a power grid that redistributes. Recently, for me to benefit from this decentralised power distribution, I used my Steemit earnings to buy and install an off-grid solar system at home.

Teachers could disappear in the future

@alvinauh: Teachers are said to be obsolete in the future. However, there are certain skills that a teacher can do that a machine could never. As such, it is possible that a teacher may remain indispensable.

Witnessing Your Soul, Seeing Governance, and Feeling the Economy (Born-Again Christians, LSD, and Foucault No. 1)

Six Months on Steemit – A Reflection

@roused: Rather than simply writing about my first six months, I decided to go back to one of my very early posts to illustrate that the steemit experience does get better. This was my second photographic postf, from about my second week on the platform. My original post received 7 votes and earned $0.88, and was seen by only 10 people. Looking back, I'm somewhat surprised I didn't give up.

[Travel With Me] Harajuku Takeshita Street

@howtostartablog: Harajuku is one of the popular tourist attractions in Tokyo and if you happen to be there, why not hop over to Takeshita street? Takeshita street is probably the busiest street in Harajuku and it used to be popular with all kinds of new fashion trends in Japan.

[책 수다][KR][EN] #.13 새해를 시작하는 좋은 방법 Start a New Year with Winter Reading Challenge.

@bree1042: This is about a Winter Reading Challenge which is an inaugural nationwide program. If you're interested in this Winter Reading Challenge, check your local library right now and see if they participate. It'll be definitely a good way to start a New Year!
