Zilliqa is a new blockchain platform that is focused on a high-transaction per second by using sharding and a linear scaleability network (among other things) to produce a 2,488 transactions per second speed in their current testnet with a goal of 4000 tps with the release of the public net with more nodes.
Zilliqa uses attributes from Proof of Work, Byzantine Fault Tolerant (pBFT), and an aggregation signature to help create a "new design" for a scaleable public blockchain.
Zilliqa is entering an interesting blockchain platform space with the likes of NEO, EOS, LISK, and the current leader Ethereum. But has certain attributes and qualities like linear scaleability that position it to be carve out a space in the blockchain platform field.

DigixDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization focused on implementing a "stable" cryptocurrneyc backed gold.
It adheres to the old-school thinking about currency that physical metals determine the value of a currency.
Digix is carving out a niche in the crypto space by making sure each DGX coin is backed by one gram of gold.
DGD is up over $260 since we last covered it in the 11th Cup of Coffee 'N Crypto and is consistently increasing in value.
