Hi Everyone!
It finally happened! Skye's now a Grandma!
Now on to the story of how we got to that point in one piece and sane.
Well, Trevor burnt the house down. Okay not the whole house, just the kitchen. He wants to be a Chief so he needed to start somewhere and I guess that was..........with burning food. sigh.......
This time with the help of the insurance money I did have enough to replace everything burned in the kitchen. I then took a good look at the house and floor plan and decided it was time.
Time for what? Oh, time to redo the house of course! What else would you do after a fire. LOL
With the 3rd generation taking over soon, Grandma Skye is now 100 and Grandpa Red is 90, their time is coming to an end. It was now time to start thinking about babies and toddlers again.
Which means, potty training, baths, toys and making sure they eat so they don't get taken away from you! Thank goodness that has not happened yet even with all the game glitches I get when I have toddlers.
So into build mode, I went.
I looked at the floor plan this time thinking of the all-important bathrooms. With 7 people and one dog, bathrooms are in great need to be easy to get to.
I thought about making the house smaller but, for me, I find everything extra just ends up on the lawn and I have been trying to clean up the yard which was why I made part of the roof a science lab for Skye. I had also moved all the gym equipment up there too.
After a talk with a friend, that is a real builder in real life, he had told me how the in thing was to have grass now on roofs. This is where some people, not any I know tho, throw their parties.
Grass added! Check. Hot tub finally off the front porch. Check! Seating and music added. Check! Twinkly lights added. Check! The Bolin family was now hip and trendy! LOLL
The nice thing about Sims is you can click on a room and move it anywhere and everything inside it will go along for the ride.
I then moved the white bathroom over closer to the main living area and was happy with that.
It made the front windows a bit off but I can live with that if I can get them to the restroom faster!
The next thing was fencing in an area so Fred, the dog, would stop running 20 miles away. The animals are just like having another toddler to take care of! which means they are a lot of work!
The first time, after fencing in the yard I had the special bush outside the fence. Fred somehow got out of the fenced area and went straight for the bush and got sprayed by a skunk! So off to the bath he went.
I then gave in and moved the bush into the fenced area hoping it will keep skunks out. Yeah, right!
One of the things I'm finding out is he will not take a bath in the fancy bathtub and the only bathtub he will use to take a bath is in one where it faces forward so now the blue bathroom is Fred's.
Ohhh, what was I thinking when I got a dog!
Through it all, Luna has been growing bigger with the new baby, painting and talking a lot to Skye and Red.
The big day finally arrived and Luna and Trevor went off to the hospital to have the baby. Luna, following in her family's footsteps, had a boy!
I had not had time to place the bassinet out yet but the Hospital sent one home with the baby. I was very happy.
Trevor did redeem himself that night.
The baby had started crying while everyone else was asleep.
Trevor, by the look of his clothes, was in the hot tub and ran all the way downstairs to change and feed his new son. He won a few points with me there!
I then sent Trevor off to sleep.
What happened next was very cute.
As soon as everyone was sleeping the Butler got up and stood guard over the new baby.
The minute he started crying the Butler changed his diaper and was feeding him as I was logging out.
The house is now set for the 3rd generation to take over and many more stories to be made inside its walls.
