This guy was a hell of a football player and became quite well known for his years in the NFL.
His message is simple:
Let's face it, the one thing that can hold us back over most other things is confidence.
It can come and go with the wind sometimes.
Confidence is the one thing that can carry you through almost anything.
It can attract almost anything to you because it puts you in a wonderful vibration.
It can get you that job, promotion or date.
It can also lose you that job, promotion or date.
Your confidence is one of the first things a person sees about you.
It shines through in everything from your facial expressions to your body language and even your tone of your voice.

When you are fully confident in a situation you basically cannot feel a negative emotion.
If you lack confidence in a situation you will be struggling to fight off negative emotions.
So, where does confidence come from?
Well Roger has a great point that it comes from doing something again and again until you know it so well that you confidence doesn't waver.
But what if it's something new?
What if you haven't done it over and over?
Can you still draw confidence from somewhere?
Of course you can!
If you have a strong self confidence you can literally create confidence in something new just by telling yourself you'll do it great.
What if that doesn't work though?
What if your self confidence isn't strong enough to be confident with something new or different?
Then what?
Well, what if I told you that you can build confidence using a simple equation?
Source
Now wait, I said a simple equation...
Source
That's much more like what I mean.
This equation, if done correctly can never fail.
It can be used for so many areas of life that I am bound to bring it up many more times in future posts.
The equation is:
Repeted Thought = Belief
Repeted Belief = Knowledge
Knowledge = Confidence
If you have no confidence whatsoever in something then start telling yourself that you will be good at it.
At first it will sound weird because you won't believe it.
If you keep telling yourself you are good at it things will line up that give you the chance to prove it.
Pretty soon you will see signs that you may actually be getting good at it.
This will, in turn, cause you to start believing it.
As you start to believe it your confidence will grow.
Pretty soon you will know you are good at it and your confidence will be quite high!
So, if you want to build confidence out of thin air start telling yourself how good you are at doing the thing you want, allow yourself to believe it, and before you know it you will have the confidence you desire.
You'll be surprised how well this works.

Thanks for reading.
