We Sometimes Need To Declutter Ourlives

Growing up, I was taught (and maybe most of us were) how important it is for me to declutter my wardrobe, the cabinet and spaces around the house. that wasn't the most exciting thing to do, but it sure looked good, clean and spacious whenever I was able to get that done. One thing though, that I wasn't taught (and had to learn on my own) was the fact that my life (mind) needs to be decluttered from time to time as well.

Basically, decluttering has to do with getting rid of things that are lying around which are no more useful, which you don't love anymore, that don't add value or things you just don't enjoy looking at anymore. Decluttering on the long run offers room for new and better things that you will like.

Just like the closet or the workspace needs to be decluttered, our lives too need to be decluttered. And when it comes to decluttering our life, it goes way beyond getting rid of items.

Getting rid of clutters in our life isn't an easy task at all, it might cause pain, it might make us look bad at some point, it takes a great deal of sacrifice. But well, that is what we do for the (greater good?), yeah the result is always worthwhile.

How does it feel staying in a cluttered room or lying down on a bed filled with so many things that are not supposed to be there, it feel terrible, right? It never gives off a nice feeling, and instead of relaxing, we get more stressed out (at least it happens to me). And I believe having a cluttered life adds stress to us as well.

Sometimes, we don't even know where to start from because the clutter seems just too much but well, the best way to start is by STARTING! No one wants to get stuffed with hurtful feelings, they don't feel nice at all. No one wants to keep "friends" that bring them down or stay in a toxic relationship, it's exhausting dealing with them. Or having too many commitments that you just can't keep up with, it will weigh you down.

Why We Need To Declutter Ourlives

  • It creates space for better things
  • It makes you more focus
  • You feel less stressed
  • You are able to function at your best and reach your full potentials
  • It helps with your personal growth
  • You have clarity etc.

Just as we need to create a favourable space around us, we need to create that space within us as well. Life gets better when we are able to get rid of those things that add little to no value to our lives. Take a step towards that and you will be happy you did. So, make it a point to check and declutter your life!
