Hey Steem Fam,
Ever since I returned to the internet way back in May 2004 and found out about blogging, I've blogged.
Back before blogging was a thing.
Back then I blogged every day.
First thing every morning, excited to jump out of bed, to share what was in my heart and on my mind.
I started blogging on Blogger.com.
Then I set up my second website.
The first was earlier, back in 1996, when I was pregnant with my first child.
After I took down the second website, I returned to Blogger just to blog. For several more years, graduating to hosting it on my own domain.
Until Blogger changed its hosting system and I couldn't figure out the tech stuff.
Then I moved to Wordpress.
Again, hosted on my own domain once more.
And lost it a couple times.
I was and still am not a techie.
I went back to Blogger, having lost the entire blog archive of the Wordpress version of my blog.
Until I paid someone to set it up properly.
Again, on my own name domain.
Then there was Empowered Network.
Do you remember that blogging empire?
I didn't move my blog there.
Just blogged every now and then on it.
Because I knew the SEO (search engine optimization) value of blogging on a well ranked blogging site.
After taking a break from running my own membership site and all blogging for three.. three and a half years???... I briefly blogged for about a week, the end of last year, 2017.
For that, I set up a brand new blog.
Again on my name domain.
Because I needed a fresh space.
I'd stopped blogging soon after my Dad passed in July 2014.
After publishing the memorial I'd written to celebrate his life on my blog, the only other posts were about the first two ebooks in my second non-fiction series.
I knew he'd like that I finally published them.
Then nothing. Not even about the next five ebooks in that series.
Nor the nineteen fiction Kindle books published under different pen names.
Didn't blog at all until late last year for about a week or two.
Realizing I needed to restart blogging and knowing I didn't feel comfy on the new blog I'd set up late last year, I thought about continuing "Angela's Voice" somewhere else.
Where I wouldn't have to worry about new themes, plugins... whatever.
Where I could just blog.
I began to lightly research possible new blogging platforms that existed at the end of last year that I missed hearing about while I focused on publishing books in those intervening years.
Didn't find anything. A lot was going on anyway.
And then I got an email about some posting thing from a guy in Italy. Then same thing from a lady living in California whom I knew personally from a live skype conversation.
Both promoting the same thing.
I mentioned it to my sister who somehow manages to read every email and every Facebook post and she said it must be about Steemit.
I WhatsApped her back and asked 'Steemit what?'
Googling it at the same time, of course.
And then it started.
As I googled more and more.
That tingling.
That inside tingling feeling that always means 'Go'.
Because what I was reading gelled with the 'lots that was going on' late last year.
Getting back in to setting back up my membership site, I was fleshing out an idea to incorporate my business training and experience with my consciousness, create your unique heaven on Earth Soul Alignment coaching and healing work I've been doing since 1990.
There had always been a tension between these two passions of mine and I didn't want that tension anymore.
So I was developing an idea of how to help my members and clients develop a very simple line of digital products and a membership site around their passions and gifts, that would allow them to be financially independent.
Blogging and social media would be an important part of their marketing.
And now, I'd not only found a possible home for my own blogging but for my peeps as well.
Inner tingling, indeed.
The biggest gift that Steemit has given me is that it got me blogging regularly again.
I go to bed thinking about posts I want to write. I dream about writing, recording, DLiving.
Nothing hardly since 2014.
And now, despite only commenting mostly for a couple weeks, I've published several posts. One DTube even! ;)
I'm finding my voice again.
"Angela's Voice".
The same name.
Always the same name.
Of my blog, wherever, whatever the platform on which it was published.
And now I want to keep a regularly updating record of my "Angela's Voice" posts that will now all be published here on Steemit.
Forgive the corny image.
I'm not a techie.
I do what I do via Stencil.
And I'll eventually get the British graphic artist who did up all my fiction book covers to create a proper graphic for "Angela's Voice".
But it's time to start celebrating every single little peep made.
After so long.
I am so thankful.
For being here.
For being alive, one year after I almost died.
The rest of last year spent recovering and wondering if God/dess made a mistake March/April of last year.
Every day, my job is to live that day fully present. To create it to be as happy as I can allow and squeeze it out to be.
Despite every thing still being so upside down.
Starting from scratch, in every area, on every level.
And I am always so ever grateful.
Every Sunday, I will celebrate every new peep, every expression of "I'm alive, present, conscious and master of my life".
