Want to know more about a mineable decentralized cryptocurrency? DigitByte has 100,000 nodes across and can be mined with 5 algorithms. We also talk the #6 market cap, Cardano (ADA), in this 30th Cup of Coffee 'N Crypto.
► Listen on DSound
► Listen from source (IPFS)
In this DSound exclusive audio, we go more into detail about the following information and more:
Digibyte (DGB)
Digibyte is among the "older class" of cryptocurrencies and blockchains with its first genesis block launched in January 2014.
DGB is an UTXO (unspent transaction output) blockchain where Digibytes are digital assets that can be used to protect digital data among many possibilities.
Digibyte is a Proof of Work blockchain that was the first to implement Segwit and is mineable by five (5) different mining algorithms to ensure decentralization and better security for the network.
The founder Jared Tate made it clear recently that Digibyte is decentralized and calls out Bitshares for not being as decentralized as Digibyte.
Is the announcement of a hard-fork this summer causing the price to increase?
More information in audio.
Cardano (ADA)
Like EOS, NEO, & Lisk, Cardano is a blockchain platform. Cardano's platform runs a new Proof of Stake algorithm called Ouroboros. Ouroboros has 20 second block intervals and more than 5 hours for irreversibility.
It is a smart-contract platform that is being built in layers with the first layer being created to handle settlements with the cryptocurrency ADA. The second layer of the platform will be the smart contract layer. It uses its own programming language called Haskell.
Charles Hoskinson, a founder of Bitshares along side @dan, is the founder of Cardano and is implementing several concepts from Delegated Proof of Stake into this new platform.
What is the deal with this top seven token? Is it a platform to rival STEEM and EOS? Or is this one of the most clever capital grabs in a while?

Hope this DSound audio helps provide value to you while you navigate this cryptospace.
