Sally Steemit needs to raise her comedy skill to level 3 to move to her next promotion, in the social media career track. There are a few ways to raise the comedy skill.
A Sim can watch television, the way Sally has been building her comedy skill, they can buy comedy skill books from the bookshelf, write jokes on the computer, and practice on an open mic in front of an audience.
Before Sally could practice her comedy skill today, she started a small fire in the kitchen while attempting to fix breakfast. This fire was NO JOKE!
Sharyn and Stanley ran to the fire to put it out with the fire extinguisher. They received a confidence boost from putting out the fire. The damage of the fire spread from the stove to the refrigerator.
The insurance company gave them about $350, but it did not cover the price of replacing the appliances. The Steemit Roommates are further away from reaching their target goal of $20,000 in household funds. Sigh.
Once I got all the Sims calmed down, Sharyn cooked some more eggs, and everyone sat around the table for breakfast. There are a few things that need done around the apartment.
There are dirty dishes on the tables, and the bathroom sink now needs repair. Stanley does not need to work today. We will help him build his handiness skills on his day off.
Sally and Stanley spent the afternoon looking for a microphone for Sally to practice her comedy. They found a nice lounge overlooking the city. She can now practice her comedy in front of an audience. Right now, it is only Stanley, but hey, she must start somewhere.
By evening, Sally has her comedy skill built up to 76%. Practicing on the mic seemed to raise the skill faster than watching television. And, the crowd really liked her set!
She will have the rest of the weekend to master the comedy skill needed for a promotion on Monday morning!
Sharyn got her promotion today. She is now a beat reporter. She will make more money at her job, and she also unlocked some rewards of the job, like recommending local hangouts.
This is level 3 of the Critic career track. To get to the next promotion of, chow chaser, Sharyn will need to raise her writing skill to level three, and write her daily column. She will not work again until Monday.
In the evening, Sally watched comedy on the television. Stanley locked himself away to practice his computer programing. And, Sharyn sat at the table and chatted with the neighbor.
They are still far from moving into a nicer apartment, but they are well on their way. Every step the Steemit roommates take to building their skills outside of work, will show in their job performance, and will result in promotions, higher wages, and bonuses.
By the end of the night, Stanley reached level 2 in programing, and Sharyn reached level 3 in cooking. As soon as everyone was ready to go to bed, the neighbors started to make noise.
I don’t even want to know what their neighbor is doing over there, since his wife is currently visiting the Steemit roommates…. Sigh.
Stanley to the rescue again. The neighbors seem to respond to him better. You don’t see him mad much, but when he is angry… watch out!
While Sally is awake, she watched just enough comedy on the television to reach the third level she needed for work, before returning to bed.
Sharyn figured she had better write her column too!
I hope you have learned different ways to raise the comedy skill, how to put out fires, and how to keep your noisy neighbors in check.
Until next time,
Happy Gaming- Sim Girl
