Jupiler League Week 27 Asian Lines
Similar to previous weeks, I will be adding previews on the weekends matches as time goes by, but always hours before the start of the match. Official match line-ups are not taken into these previews and can always switch my views around.
Friday Match
Sint-truiden vs Anderlecht
Both teams are in a big downtrend and there has been a lot of drama around Anderlecht who have some important missings. (Kums, Dendoncker, Trebel, Kara, Onyewkuru) Mainly Trebel has been extremely important for Anderlecht (they are without victory if he's not in the team based on 5 matches). Both Kums and Dendonckers had terrible form. This match is really hard to predict as an Anderlecht loss would not come as a surprise to anyone which is refelected in the odds. These matches to me where there is a big line movement clearly based events are good to potentially bet against the move. I will not be betting anything pre-game but will wait to see how it all plays out live. The main angle for the over/under based on similar situations from the past is "Bet over in matches from top teams who are in big crisis" because they tend to always get goals against which brings open matches at some point. So betting Anderlecht at a good line (cover draw at least half) when the match is level and they somehow put up a good performance (optimally 1H bet) or bet the over when the underdog is the better team are my live betting ideas going into this one.
Saturday Matches
Antwerp vs Oostende
Antwerp have been inside the top 6 for a while but are beginning to slide with 4 matches left to go in the regular season. Being ahead in these kind of situation often brings fear to miss out and does not improve the overall performance. oostende are in a zone where they play for nothing. The thing I am looking for is Antwerp to close things down in case they score the 1-0 which they are capable of or the over when Oostende takes the lead and the late over and maybe Antwerp collapse late in case they are 1 goal behind.
Lokeren vs Kortrijk
Kortrijk are in great form and have been praised by the media this week. Lokeren are not 100% safe yet but unlikely to get into trouble, they have a terrible home record.
Based on fact that Kortrijk are in excellent form and in the chase for a Play-off 1 spot I took some Kortrijk +0 @ 2.20 early this week. I will look at a potential over live as I would be surprised to see lokeren keep a clean sheet.
Zulte-Waregem vs Eupen
Eupen took a big hit last week with a deserved loss against direct opponent Mechelen. It is never a surprise to see teams in last position take wins at the end of the season while at the same time a total collapse when getting behind is also always and option. I am open for all kind of bets in this match depending on how things evolve live. It is a match between the nr2 most corners team vs nr2 most corners against team. If I had acces live to corner sides I would always go for Zulte-Waregem in case they got behind.
Club Brugge vs Genk
This is a match between offensive minded coachesand Club Brugge still has problems to keep clean sheets. The odds seem to be set very sharp. it's hard to oppose the home team and I need to see the picture of the match first to make a bet on the over at current odds.
Sunday Matches
AA Gent vs Mechelen
Mechelen dodged a bullet yesterday after Eupen were 0-2 ahead against Zulte-Waregem. This is a typical match where both a relegation team win or total collapse are possible scenarios. Likely match picture will be Gent Attacking and Mechelen breaking out on the counter. A goal will probably be needed to break this match open. This can be a good match for live betting. Nothing pre-game.
Charleroi vs Standard
I am liking Standard in this match and took some very early Standard +0.25 @ 1.72 which was the only line available at the time. Standard are in a very good flow while Charleroi are in a decline lately. I am leaning towards the over even though Charleroi is an under team (14.5W-11L vs asian under line this season). Standard have been very overish with 24 goals in the last 5 matches and Goalkeeper Penneteau is out for Charleroi who has been excellent. So Standard | Standard Team Total Over |
Over is what I'm looking at in this match
Moeskroen vs Waasland
I'm patiently waiting for Waasland to start feeling the backlash of some key players leaving. So far there have been no real signs and they are still in the hunt for a play-off 1 spot but they absolutely need the win for this. An away team that needs a win should be a setup for an open match. As often, it is very hard to find any good value on the pre-game odds these days. Waasland do seem to be a bit overrated here as the away favorite, but I'm not planning to oppose them until I see the proper signs to do so.
