USD values are calculated per day via API feeds from Poloniex (for STEEM and SBD values in BTC) and Coindesk (for USD value of BTC). For the top 50 reports in USD terms, I take the average USD value for STEEM and SBD for the week using the daily average which came out to:

Commentary
The withdrawal to deposit ratio came down again to 2.75 to 1.
There's @tostitos again topping the withdrawal list. I'm so curious to know if that's a real brand or just a way for Steemit, inc to move money around and keep people guessing.
@gcalex tops the deposit list this week with over $300k.
Interesting to see account names like @z8teyb289qav9z. Will STEEM finally be used more as a currency and this is just an example of a pseudo anonymous wallet address?
The decline in people powering down next week is 2.46% in the green compared to the previous week (so basically the same).
